Misunderstanding

Eryna sneakily tiptoed around the mansion, It was still early in the morning but she was hungry and was unable to find the kitchen in the huge mansion. Her grumbling stomach gave out another warning as she walked past the lounge, 

“Miss?’

“Gasp” Eryna jumped in horror as she felt like her heart had skipped out of her chest, She looked around and saw the butler standing behind her with an excited expression.

“You almost gave me a heart attack,” Eryna spoke as she took a deep breath.

“Oh, my apologies, But why are you up so early, and why are you walking like that?” He asked in an interesting voice, his eyes had a spark when he spoke to her,

“Sigh, I am hungry, and I am looking for the kitchen to find something to eat,”

After listening to her the butler started at her with a weird gaze.

“What happened? Don’t you have a kitchen in the house?”

“No, there is a kitchen in the mansion but e are not allowed to use it,” He replied while looking at the floor.

“Why? Is it for decoration purpose then?”

“No, Master doesn’t like the smell of food in the house, He gets disturbed by it,”

Eryna looked at the butler with an expression that said.

‘That darn master of yours, Is there a thing in the world he likes?’

“So where does he get his breakfast from?”

Eryna asked with a hungry look, her eyes sparkled when she looked at the butler.

“That- the master doesn’t eat breakfast,” He looked down in shame,

‘Crash- ah- was that my heart? Did it break?... How am I supposed to live without food? That’s the only happy thing left in my life.’

Eryna played a dramatic role in heartbreak in her mind but suddenly collected her mood and spoke to the butler with a determined gaze.

“Where is the kitchen?” 

“Miss what are you thinking?” The butler didn’t look very good after hearing her determined tone.

“Lead me to the kitchen, if I don’t eat something now I am surely going to die, And if I eat I will die too, with your master’s hands. I guess dying with a full stomach would be much better,”

“But-but”

“No buts, I take the responsibility, for whatever happens,”

Eryna turned around and started to walk away.

“Miss!” the butler called her out.

“Nope, you can’t stop me now!” Eryna waved her hand in the opposite direction and continued to walk.

“Miss it’s this way, the kitchen.” the butler corrected her.

Eryna stopped at once and turned around, her cheeks were slightly tinted red.

“Oh, I thought you were stopping me,” She fidgeted her fingers and followed the butler,

The butler lead, Eryna to the kitchen,  She looked around the beautifully marbled counters and the wooden cabinets. Her eyes sparkled at the sight of such a piece of art, she wandered around it and happily opened up every cabinet and drawer.

Her happiness ended when her stomach gave out another growl.

“Hehe, I better cook something,” Eryna grinned at the butler.

She opened up the cabinets once more and looked around the ingredients, and surprisingly there was everything in the kitchen, the refrigerator was loaded with food and so were the cabinets.

‘Sigh, Rich people, You can never understand them,’

Eryna sighed inwardly and thought to herself.

It didn’t take her long to make her breakfast which was coffee and Pancakes with maple syrup and a bunch of strawberries, Eryna always made two servings, one for herself and the other for Simba and today was no different.

“Here! You can eat this one,” She gave the other serving to the butler.

“Me? How can I…”

“Sigh, Just accompany me while eating, I don’t like eating alone,”

It had been less than a second since Eryna said that when she felt the atmosphere around her froze up. 

“How dare you step into the kitchen?”

Micah stood in the door staring at Eryna with a bloodthirsty gaze.

‘I thought I would have a peaceful breakfast but it seems like mother nature doesn’t want that,’

“How could you let her in?”

Micha directed his anger toward the butler as well who lowered his gaze.

“I was hungry so I cooked up something for me, please don’t scold him,”

“I don’t care if you were hungry or not, Get out of here,”

‘SIGH, This…’

“Fine, Uncle Shaun could you get me my cell phone please, I have a call to make,”

Micah’s gaze froze on Eryna when she uttered those words, he was confused for what she was about to do.

The butler walked out in a hurry and came back with her cell phone,

“Where is it? “ She swiped through her contacts.

‘What?” The butler asked in a mumble.

“I can’t find Grandpa’s phone number, He asked me to tell him whenever I need something. I am going to ask him to build me another kitchen as his grandson doesn’t want me to use his.”

‘Yes, I know how much you are scared of your grandpa, and I will use him against you for as long as we are together,’

Eryna peeked at Micah’s flushed face when she spoke those words, he walked in closer and took the phone out of Eryna’s hand before she could do anything.

“That, you don’t have to disturb him for these small things, he is a busy man,” Micah turned her cellphone off and placed it in his pocket.

“Sigh, then how am I suppose to make food for myself?” Eryna spoke in a dejected voice.

“Go on, use it however you please,” His teeth were tightly clenched and his face was serious like an iceblock, He turned around to walk away but stopped at the sight of food. He readily picked the plate of pancakes and walked out without permission.

“This, put that back, I made it with so much effort how could you just take it from me?” Eryna followed him with an angry expression,

Micah stopped midway and eryna who was walking right behind him bumped into his back.

“Ouch…” She rubbed her nose and stepped back.

“Why did you stop all of a sudden?” 

She spoke angrily, 

Micha didn’t answer her and walked back to the kitchen, he leisurely picked up the coffee cup and walked out again as if it was the most normal thing he could have done. 

“You thief!” Eryna shouted, and this time Micah turned around with a stoic face,

“Theif? This is my house, My kitchen, my food, How can I be a thief?”

“This-This shameless person!” Eryna stomped her feet in anger while Micah walked away calmly.
