Chapter 1

Author: Wild Wheat
The first time my husband, Samuel Copeland, cheated on me, he claimed that it was a misunderstanding. The second time he cheated, they became pregnant.

The third time it happened, they were already a happy family of three.

The husband who was perfect in the public's eyes betrayed me again and again, which led to my death in a car accident in the end.

When I got a second chance at life, I decided to let go and let them be happy.

"Ms. Winters, I have the examination results. You are six weeks pregnant. Congratulations. Your baby is very healthy."

The doctor interrupted my thoughts, further solidifying the truth that I had gotten a second chance at life.

Through the gap in the door, I saw Samuel and Tiffany Finch walk past briefly. Vaguely, I could hear Tiffany whispering coquettishly, "Mr. Copeland, your wife wouldn't find out about you coming with me for my pregnancy checkup, would she?"

Samuel reassured her, "She won't. I told Lindsay that I'm on a business trip, so she won't suspect a thing."

Suddenly, Tiffany pouted. Teary-eyed, she said, "I know that I shouldn't bother you again, but I didn't expect to get pregnant with your child, either…"

Samuel placed his hand on her supple cheek. "Why are you bringing that up? Are you still mad at me for firing you? I promise you—I will think of a way for you to return to your desired role after the child is born.

"Alright, that's enough. The baby inside you can hear us. Haven't you been wanting to go to the amusement park? Shall I turn down all my meetings tomorrow to spend time with you?"

Tiffany shook her head meekly. Following that, she retched up slightly.

Samuel reacted speedily. I couldn't believe that he actually reached out to catch Tiffany's vomit.

In my previous life, I charged out of the room immediately to question Samuel and Tiffany after confirming that they showed up at the obstetrics and gynecology department together. I didn't have the patience to watch what subsequently unfolded or hear a conversation like that.

I couldn't help but think about my memories from my previous life. I recalled the first time I bumped into Samuel and Tiffany being intimate with one another.

Back then, Samuel hadn't come home all night because he worked overtime. Early next morning, I delivered breakfast to him at his office.

It was still very early, so there weren't many people at the office. I headed straight to his private lounge, where I then witnessed the pair sleeping in one another's arms on the bed that I chose for him personally.

The food container that fell onto the floor broke into pieces, and the freshly-made sandwich fell onto the garments that were scattered suggestively, creating a stark contrast.

Right after Samuel jolted awake, he fired Tiffany. He claimed that she took advantage of her role at work to drug and seduce him. He had mistaken her for me, which was how he ended up in that situation.

Samuel spoke sincerely, remaining absolutely compliant by my side for a few consecutive days. He hoped that I could believe that the incident between him and Tiffany was just a misunderstanding, and that I could forgive him.

Truth be told, subconsciously, I didn't believe that he would cheat on me. We had known each other since we were young, as our families were long-time friends. Naturally, we ended up getting together after going to college.

Everyone said that we looked good together and were meant for each other.

Unlike other aristocrats in the upper-class society, Samuel kept his distance from women other than me. He stayed away from red-light districts, too.

He was domineering, cold, and aloof. All he had in his life was his work and me.

Thus, I chose to believe him. I believed that what happened with Tiffany was just a misunderstanding.

Nevertheless, this incident ended up becoming like a small, ticking time bomb that was buried between Samuel and me.

It remained so until I came for a checkup, as I suspected that I was pregnant. When I happened to witness Samuel's second betrayal, the said bomb detonated.

I could still remember the time when I had morning sickness in my previous life. Each time, Samuel summoned the nanny to attend to me while he shifted aside with a frown on his face.

I hadn't paid any attention to that at the time. I simply assumed that it was only reasonable for a pampered man like him to be inept at caring for others.

Yet, the image of him reaching out to catch Tiffany's vomit so naturally earlier lingered in my mind for a long time.

It wasn't that he didn't know how to care for others—it was just that he couldn't stand me. He rarely spoke sweet nothings to me, but he tried his best to cheer Tiffany up when she felt horrible.

I got a good look at his true colors under that facade of his, and it felt like my heart was torn to pieces. The pain was unbearable.

"Ms. Winters, are you alright?"

The doctor's voice pulled me out of my memories and back into reality.

I closed my eyes momentarily, suppressing my urge to dash out the doors and question Samuel.

The image of my son calling Tiffany "Mommy" cutely after Samuel taught him to do so in my previous life came back to mind. I could still feel the excruciating pain and persistent fear after the car accident within me.

Now that I had another chance, I was not going to let myself make the same mistakes.

I said to the doctor, "Please slot me in for the earliest possible appointment for an abortion."

When I reached their home, I stayed there for some time before traveling all around the world after I made a full recovery. Before that, I instructed my parents not to reveal any information about my whereabouts to Samuel. They loathed him, anyway, so they agreed right away. Subsequently, I found out that he had been searching for me the entire time, though it didn't matter to me why he did so.Now that I had a second chance, I wanted to properly enjoy this life that was mine. • You Think He's Perfect? Take Him   Chapter 6

Third-person POV:When Samuel returned to the villa, Tiffany was telling a housekeeper off in the kitchen. From what he could gather, a newly-hired housekeeper broke a plate, and Tiffany was making things difficult for her. When Tiffany first joined Copeland Corporation as an employee, she showed genuine competency. It was just that she eventually assumed that she gained power the closer she got to those in positions. In the end, she forgot her place. Samuel walked over and signaled to the housekeeper to step out. Tiffany lit up when she saw that he was back. But before she could even touch him, she was seized and taken down to the basement forcefully. A chilling operating table stood in the basement, with ghastly white lights surrounding it. The gynecologist, with whom she was well-acquainted, was there as well. The moment she saw all of that, her knees went weak. "S-Samuel, what are you doing? "According to the doctors, our baby can now hear what's going on in the outside

  • You Think He's Perfect? Take Him   Chapter 5

Third-person POV:Samuel returned home for the first time in three days. The moment he stepped through the door, Tiffany threw her arms around his waist, sobbing."Samuel, are you leaving me? Why have you been hiding from me? Our baby and I missed you so much." Expressionlessly, Samuel yanked her arms away from him. "I was giving you a chance by not coming back. Don't make things difficult for yourself, Tiffany." A flicker of panic crossed Tiffany's eyes before she quickly regained her composure. "What do you mean by that? Are you blaming me, even though that obstacle, Lindsay, has left? Did she take your soul away when she—"Before she finished her sentence, a loud smack rang out as Samuel slapped her across the face. She froze. Ever since she became pregnant, Samuel had been in absolute agreement with her in everything, and he never said a harsh word to her. Yet, he actually hit her because of Lindsay.Tiffany placed one hand over her belly and another over her cheek as t

  • You Think He's Perfect? Take Him   Chapter 4

Or was this something she had planned a long time ago? Did she go through all that trouble just to leave him? Was this how fragile their relationship was? Deep down, Samuel was shocked and furious. But when he set his eyes on the confirmation of termination of pregnancy document, his mind went blank immediately.Lindsay was already six weeks pregnant, and she had aborted their child. • You Think He's Perfect? Take Him   Chapter 3

Tiffany hung out at our villa almost every day. She said that she wanted to see me to discuss the wedding specifics. She even wanted to borrow Samuel to run through the wedding plans she had in mind. I indulged her antics patiently for two days. But today, I felt really weak after getting my abortion. Even after having painkillers administered, the pain was still unbearable. According to the doctor, this was just a physiological characteristic of mine. I had no energy to dwell on it, and I simply turned down Tiffany's invitation to customize her wedding gown. Unexpectedly, she refused to give up while she was downstairs. She even led the tailor and designer to my bedroom upstairs. "Linds, I know that you're feeling unwell, but you have better taste than I do. I don't feel at ease unless you look at it for me." Following that, she prompted the designer to show me each of the wedding gown designs that were drafted for her. It made my head spin, and my headache was killing me.
