Chapter 4-Evil smile.

   I smiled at my good luck as I dashed towards it  and took the shotgun from where it hung on the wall.

  Aunt Laura must have encountered such events before; if she hung it in her room,I think she was going to get it before they killed her. I think these men knew her well.

 They had guns but they still used a knife to kill her, what did she really do to them or were they just here for fun?

 I had an experience with a shotgun from watching videos online, I know it wasn't much of an experience but if you knew me it was enough. 

   I admired the beauty as I took it,this was the first time I had held this I checked amd saw it was loaded, I still heard the gunshots from the hallways,I searched through her drawer and saw a torch,a broken mirror and head band,I put one torch and hair band into my backpack.

 I waited till I heard another gunfire and I dropped the mirror on the floor and it broke into pieces.I walked to Aunt Laura's window and opened it and flashed the torchlight down and saw hays on the ground,it made me think this was an escape plan,was she running from someone?

 I had a good idea.

   I took the shotgun , walked to the door and slightly opened it and peeped into the hallway.

 I saw them as their torches were still on.

 The man was still holding  Mum's hair as the other was still leaning by the staircase. 

   Another gunshots fired and I took that opportunity and dashed into the hallway and fired at the man who was holding mum.

"AH!". he shouted as he retreated back into my room and mom ran into the room as well as his colleague shot at me, being a novice his friend was quicker so i ran back into Aunt Laura's room. 

   

  He was still shooting as he walked down the hallway towards aunt Laura's room.I peeped out a bit and he shot the door and the particles of the wood hit my face. I had to close my eyes so it wouldn't get into it.

 I knew I couldn't win this fight I was still a novice I took the broken mirror pieces and placed it on the window frame and as i carefully jumped out the window with the shotgun still in hand and I landed on the hay,I got up immediately as I heard more gunshots,I ran the opposite as I heard an ear piercing scream ,am sure it caught him.

" I will kill you!I will kill you!". The man shouted thunderously from the window and I chuckled inwardly.

 How can he be so foolish that he didn't check the window before looking down.

  After I ran a great distance into the bushes I brought out my phone in search of a signal.

 I know that what I did would anger them more so I needed to call the police,but still my family.

  The torchlight was turned on so I stumbled on something and fell, breaking my phone screen in the process.

 Really of all things that would happen it would be this?

 I still got no signal and there was only one option left. I needed to get back into the house to the living room or drive the car away.

 I can't leave my family here,but if I dumped them here I would be free from anyone's controlling hands when I turned 18.

 No I can't think like that after all the progress i have made so far and the bond we share now I can't break it.
