It was the most awkward thing that ever happened to her. She cringed inside the entire way to La Lune. She didn't expect to see John right the very moment she was going to call the cab. She spent a few hours talking with John's co-workers. All that time, John was always interrupted by fans who wanted to take pictures with him. He was used to it, and he was nice about it. She scanned the room once in a while to check on Lucas. He was drinking and sulked at the bar. Sometimes she caught him looking at her while in John's arms. She wasn't intentionally parading John in front of him, but it was hurting him nonetheless.

She was ready in the morning. The plan was to take a stroll on John's motorbike for a cross country, or cross-island, enjoy the scenery and try new things along the way. She saw him getting ready from the kitchen window. She missed him already, maybe because of how he left things the night before. Looking at him with his pillow face and messy hair was a delight. He smiled at her and waved, her heart sank, the effect he had on her was bewitching.
