Chapter Thirty-one
Dex stared at the screen open mouthed as he read the information. He couldn’t  believe what he was seeing. He ran a hand over his face and sighed. “How did you find this out?” He asked, looking at her wide eyed. “Those bugs I planted allowed for me to listen in on his phone calls and trace the caller.” She  said, pulling  her hair off of her neck. “So then we were successful?” He whispered wide eyed. “It would seem so…” She murmured. “But?” He asked, sighing knowing that there was more.  “Well, I can't be too sure but… I don’t want to

Chapter Thirty-two
Margo sighed and leaned back against her seat. This was probably her least favorite thing to do. She knew that it was beneficial but she still hated it. Kane chuckled at her impatience. Margo glared at him out of the corner of her eye. She didn’t need his commentary and at the moment it would only make her  snap. “Your impatience is cute but you need to take a moment to breathe.” Kane sighed. “I know that you don’t want to hear it but we need you at your best.”Margo sighed and peered through the lens of her camera. She snapped pictures as she watched people coming in and out of the buildings. She hated sitting there for hours on end with nothing to do but watch the people that came in and out of the buildings. She frowned when she spotted a face that she recognized enter the building.

Chapter Thirty-three
“Okay, so I sent the information to Spencer. We’ve divided the list in half that way we can get through it faster. What is all of this?” He asked, turning to look at Margo and Kane.  “We got this information from one of Bernard’s couriers.” She said, from her position leaning against the wall.  “Wait… What?” Dex shouted.  “The guy we had everyone looking out for went to a hotel and was in there for  hours. When he left he had a manilla envelope filled with these pictures and notes.” Kane said, yawning.  “What?” Dex demanded. “How did you even get this information?”  “I was pretty certain that he would be staying in one of Bernard’s offsite cabins.” Margo said, shrugging. “So that’s where we

Chapter Thirty-four
After the trip to the emergency room where everyone was deemed as being in good health and able to go home, Maribell returned with Aoife back to the club. She was worn out and exhausted but happy that her little girl was healthy. When they entered the club the members and  their ol’ ladies welcomed them back with open arms. Excitement permeated the air as the little bundle was shown off.  “Now this is a nice change of pace.” Machine chuckled as he pulled Jess into his arms.  “It is nice, isn’t it?” Jess whispered, smiling up at him over her shoulder. “If only things could stay like this.” Machine sighed, kissing the top of her head.  “We all have to do things that we don’t want to do. What’s on your mind?” She whispered.

Chapter Thirty-five
“Penny,” Margo began gently.  “Yeah?” She asked nervously.  “Why don’t you hold her?” Margo whispered.  “I-i don’t know… What if she cries or I-i drop her?” Penny began nervously wringing her hands.  “Everything will be fine. Maribell and I are here with you.” Margo assured her.  “O-okay. If you think I can.” She sighed and shook out her arms.  “We know you can.” Maribell responded, nodding  her head.  Margo passed her the tiny little bundle and Maribel helped her hold her the right way. Penny peered down into the eyes of the tiny little girl in her arms. Emerald green eyes stared back at

Chapter Thirty-six
“Well, that’s good to know. Next time I won’t be able to let you off so easily. When can I expect the drop? And where do I get it?” He asked, standing up.  “I’ll have someone drop it off at the cabin.” Margo said, pushing out of her chair and going to the bar. “Breathe a word of what you saw or what we spoke of and you’ll end up like the assassin.”  The man nodded his head and stood up from his chair. He had never expected to run into her when he walked in here. In fact, she had been the furthest thing from his mind. He also never expected to walk into a motorcycle club. Like everyone else, he was certain that places like this were full of gun loving drug addicts. He couldn’t begin to fathom how the two people he found in the bar were connected to this place.  “Can I ask you something?” He asked, t

Chapter Thiry-seven
Dex waited for her to finish burping Aife before she laid her down in the bassinet next to her bed. When they were certain that she was asleep Dex sat down next to her on the bed. He wrapped her in his arms and held her. He sighed as she stared up at him tearfully.“I haven’t told you about my family but if it will help then I’m willing to.” He said, softly. “You don’t have to do that.” She whispered. “I want you to understand that you’re not alone in this.” He said, pressing a kiss to the top of her head absentmindedly. “Okay.” She mumbled as a blush creeped up her cheeks. “My dad left my mom when she got pregnant with me.&r

Chapter Thirty-eight
Bernard sighed and leaned back in his chair. A sick smile twisted his face as he stared at the man laying on the floor before him. His eyes pierced the man with a sinister glare. “Please,” He groaned. “I hired you to do a job. So far you’re failing miserably at said job. What should I do with you now?” He hummed, ignoring the man’s pleading to let him go. “I mean you haven’t really brought me anything of value now have you?” He hissed. “But-” The man's whimpers turned into groans and screams of pain as Bernard stomped on his mangled fingers. “Please!” He begged, trying to pull his hand away. “Please!” Bernar

Chapter Thirty-nine
Kane knew that Margo was on the verge of tears. Angry at how this woman had treated her daughter and hatred for how she had the audacity to show up at the club and try to take her daughter back to Bernard filled her. Kane sighed and pulled Margo into his arms, forcing her to let go of Maribel’s twin.  “You fucking psycho bitch!” The older woman screeched, wrapping her daughter in her arms as she stared at the blood trickling down her daughter’s cheek. “You should leave before my better judgement runs out and I let her do to you as she pleases.” Kane growled, holding Margo in his arms. “You wouldn’t.” She panted. “I would. I can’t stand people like you.” Machine growled, from his positi

Kane sighed and stepped out of the meeting room. The women and kids were still gathered around the club. There was a nervous fear that seemed to run through everyone. When he looked around all he saw were a bunch of defenseless people that were in danger. He shook his head and made his way to the bar. There was so much  that needed to be done and he was beginning to wonder if they were going to be capable of protecting everyone here. He thought back to a recent conversation that he’d had with Margo. She had been on the right track and as much as he knew that it would cause an uproar for the older members there was no other way around it. “Machine, can we talk?” He whispered when the older man sat next to him. “What are you thinking?” Machine asked, tapping the bar for a beer.  “I’m thinking we’ve got a
