Chapter 1

I am Jaden West, Alpha the of Denari pack. I work along with other powerful packs who have their own respective Alphas. We live in a vast area of wilderness called The Werewolf Territory, and there are three towns. The war between my people and the humans has finally ended, and we have had peace for five years now. But with war, comes casualties. My parents are dead, they died as heroes. They were killed by the leader of the Human Territory during the war, and my older brother who was supposed to be Alpha of my pack disappeared. I have searched everywhere for him, but have had no luck in finding him. I was next in line to be Alpha, and I had no choice but to ascend to power. The leader of the Human Territory is called General Ross, and it is said that he single-handedly killed two Alpha werewolves when he was in his prime. He is evil and full of hatred for my kind. Chapter 2

“I see something,” Daniel says as he looks beyond the metal fencing. We all look at him, waiting for him to elaborate. “It’s an elephant.” He adds as he smirks. “You’re lying,” Isaac says, hope lacing his words. I can tell that he’s very happy that we have found such a big animal, considering that we have just started our hunt. “I’m not...it’s right there,” Daniel says while pointing ahead but we don’t see anything. His vision is better than ours so I guess it makes sense why we can’t see the animal. “Search around..see whether there’s anyone,” I give the order, and Daniel does what I say. We shouldn’t be here, this is beyond risky. “Umm...I see no one.” He responds after searching around, and I smile. “Search again,” I inform him, and he sighs. Chapter 3

“Jaden, Jaden..” I hear a faint voice as someone shakes me awake. When I open my eyes, I see a blurry image of Isaac, and then my eyes finally clear. He is still in his werewolf form, which tells me that it is still night and not much time has passed since I was knocked unconscious by god knows what. “What happened?” I ask as I try to get up from the ground. The back of my head hurts so bad, and when I try to touch it with my hand, I realize that I am indeed bleeding. “Someone threw a stone at you, it was one of the humans,” Issac informs me, and I groan. Of course, one of them did. My team members have all shifted fully, but for some reason they have been able to control their urge to attack the humans, which is unbearably difficult to do. I know this must be hard for them, considering that all our senses heighten when we shift; so I bet they all can smell the blood that runs through the veins of these people. “How long was I out?” I ask no one in particular as I dust the dirt

Chapter 4

I drop my hand from his shoulder, and he sighs as he watches me with satisfaction. “I’m sure there is an agreement we can come up with,” His daughter says, and he frowns. “Vanessa, please do not speak. Let us leave,” He replies to her, but she stands her ground. I’m starting to like this lady. “Father, let’s not pretend, you know we too are running low on food, the animals are getting less as each day passes,” She reminds him, and it’s clear that she has her father’s full attention now. “Okay then, what would you suggest?” He asks her tentatively as he eyes me. “We can take the Alpha as our prisoner and let the others go,” She tells him, and my eyes bulge out. “What? Chapter 5

I sigh as I reach for the door. When I touch the handle, my skin instantly burns as if I placed it in hot oil. The pain is unbearable. “Bloody hell!” I yell in agony as the pain cripples my mind. “White Skull Rocks,” Jack says, and the other guard laughs loudly. He seems to be enjoying this too much. I groan in pain as I take a look at my palm. The skin is trying to heal already, but the flesh on it was completely melted off by my encounter with the door. I have to count on my ability to heal fast to deliver me from this excruciating pain. “The entire door is made of them. “Okay,” I say lowly as I turn my horse around. “Where are you going?” She asks loudly. “Back to The Hole. My people are without a leader, I just want to do what I came here to do, and then return.” I reply to her. “Okay then!
