"Are you crazy or just plain stupid?! That's your son, Mayu! That's not a dog you can just give to anyone! Think about it!"After that, she just hung up. With a slumped shoulder, I threw the cellphone on the bed. I closed my eyes tightly and massaged my temples. When I woke up, I glanced at Arkan, who was innocently looking at me.The color of his eyes is very clear to me, and I think they will get brighter as he gets older."I can't take care of you, Arkan," I said more weakly.Even though my heart is being torn apart little by little, my decision to send him to an orphanage is still intact.Someone else can take care of him better.Others will love him more.He will be given more attention, and...He can have a whole family. They kept going back and forth in my mind. So the next day, even though I could feel the tears in the corner of my eyes, I decided to look for an orphanage.I carried Arkan and waited patiently for the car. When I got on board, I noticed the driver took us to th

"Uhm, just taking a breather outside—""With a bag, Miss Selvestre?" he raised an eyebrow before snickering at me."Next time, weave a very effective lie," he uttered.I nodded and just ignored him. That would be better than being forced to say that I planned to let someone adopt Arkan.I almost fainted after remembering what I had done. I must have been a very bad mother and thought of doing that to my son. I went limp and could barely walk. What if I didn't change my mind? What if I can't be with Arkan? Can't keep track of his growth? Then he will end up in a bad family? How?My throat hurts thinking about them. Tears welled up in my eyes, and my heart was slowly breaking."Are you okay?"I blinked at Apollo's question. That's when I realized what I was thinking. We stopped in front of the resthouse. When I looked down, Arkan was staring at me, which made me nervous."I'm sorry, Baby," is all that I can utter inside my mind."I'm fine, Apollo. You can leave me here."But he shook hi

Even though I wanted to listen to Apollo's reasoning, I didn't. I quietly entered the villa. I just want Arkan not to make any noise, or we will be seen here.I quietly turned the door of the villa and entered without a sound. I closed the door and leaned there to hear their conversation, but it wasn't close to my ears."Your father has different feelings, Arkan. We haven't been able to enjoy the sea yet, but here he is right now!" I resented. He snorted a little, and I thought he understood me. I blew him a kiss before looking around inside the villa. But I was also bitten by a snake after seeing some expensive items, coats hanging up, and some long sleeves. My lips parted. I don't want to think that the villa belongs to Aldo, but I can't help it. Maybe there are still rich tourists who can go to the resort, right?I looked around again. The bed was unmade, so the guest must have just arrived. Even if Aldo doesn't occupy it yet, I'd rather make sure he doesn't see us.I planned to tu

"This is too much, Apollo."I can't stop saying that. He gave Arkan a toy remote-controlled car again. That's already the tenth piece this month."I'm just spoiling my nephew, Miss Selvestre." He grinned and gently ruffled Arkan's hair. "Even so! Don't train my son in luxury. Let him learn to be content with what I can give," I begged meaningfully.I know that he had no bad intentions in giving Arkan a gift; I just don't want my son to grow up in luxury. Maybe one day he will look for it, and I won't be able to give it right away.Apollo sighed and released Arkan. He watched as Arkan returned to the sofa before he faced me. If earlier he was mischievous, now his eyes are serious, which makes me nervous."Aldo is back here, and I wasn't able to stop him. He's been stressed lately," he opened the conversation.I quickly looked away. I know what he wants to happen, but I'm not ready yet. I am not yet ready to introduce Arkan to anyone in their family."We'll be the ones leaving then. I'

"You don't want to tell me your mother's name? Fine. Just tell me your name, young boy," he gently asked Arkan.Arkan stared at him for a long time before speaking."I'm Arkan. Just call me, Arkan," my son answered simply.Aldo nodded slightly before standing up."I will remember you, Kiddo."That was the last thing Aldo said to Arkan after Baron forced him to leave. I hadn't even moved when they turned around. I waited for them to disappear from my sight before I quickly approached Arkan. picked him up and rushed out of the market. I also immediately stopped a cab and asked the driver to send us to the resthouse."Good job, baby. Don't just give any important information to strangers. Alright?"but he didn't seem to listen to me. His attention was on the grapes in his hand."Mom, why do we have the same eyes?" he asked suddenly, which made me stop."Oh?""That man, Mommy. I look exactly like him. His stares, his eyes, and his looks Is he my other uncle? I look more like him than Dadd
