Bryan POV The rest of the weekend flew by with the two of us thoroughly enjoying our alone time for the most part. 36. Half truths

Josie POV I woke up from the dream gasping for air with tears streaking down my cheeks. The hard lump in my throat told me that I was only just beginning to truly grieve the loss of my baby boy. My stomach felt as though there were rocks pulling me down into a dark abyss that I had swam my way out of once before when I lost the baby in the same accident I lost my husband. That baby hadn't been tangible though, not like the sweet baby boy I gave birth to and held in my dream. The devastation was overwhelming, and I felt my body shake as I sobbed. "It's okay baby, I've got you. I know, I know. I'm here, it's okay. I know it's feels so real, and the wounds are so raw, but that was a long time ago, ok. It was a long time ago. I've got you."
