"There isn't anything" I answered quickly while turning towards the elevator, ugh, the same elevator again."Maybe we should go down the fire escape.""Yup." Alex walked ahead of me to the fire escape.Mum came into my room after dinner with a big box in her hands. "Cara, this is a dress-'I groan before Mum finishes her sentence "No fluffy dress Mum!?"Of course, fear. Are you underestimating my taste? I chose it myself this afternoon." Mum replied sitting on the end of my bed and opening the box and the paper packet inside. Mum pulled on a dark green velvet dress, no puffs and no bows. Simple and very elegant. I stare at the dress in Mum's hands for a few moments with a stunned expression."You like it?" Mum asked with a big smile."I like it very much.""I think this dress matches your eye color." added Mum still with her big smile. "But I can't show you your prom dress right now-""Wait a minute ... This isn't my prom dress?" I asked confusedly.Mum chuckles and shakes her head "O

Alex was shocked to hear my words, a hurt expression flashed across his face before he covered it with his stiff face. "Mum and Dad would be hurt if they heard what you just said.""Your family-Mum,Dad, Jen, Mr. Turner and the others, they are the Pack and your family! Not mine ... I don't have anyone."Alex gritted his jaw, his brown eyes gleaming with rage. What about me? Am I also nothing to you?"A few drops of tears fell from the corners of my eyes. What am I doing right now? I really want to hurt Alex but I also don't want to see the look on his face right now. "You -it was a mistake, Alex. I'm not your mate.""You are my mate." He growls at me "Yesterday, today, tomorrow, and forever."I shook my head, trying hard to make him understand but I couldn't tell myself. "You are wrong.""What's wrong with you-"Is Jen a werewolf too?" cut me off suddenly.Alex frowned then shook his head, "Are you angry that we hid our identities from you? By the way, werewolves are prohibited from t

Alex didn't answer my question, his hands went back to combing his hair unconsciously. "We call them Lycan. Apart from having violet irises, they can summon the power of the moon-""Wait a minute, I don't understand-""Just like you yesterday, Cara. The sky suddenly darkened, the thick fog, violet irises ... Cara, those are all characteristics of Lycan's power."Alex's words made me cover my mouth instantly. He looked at my shocked face then pulled the corners of his mouth down. "There's just one problem ... " Alex combed his hair again, this time with both hands. "The Lycans were extinct a hundred years ago.""They are extinct." I repeated to him, "So I'm neither Lycan nor werewolf."Alex looked at me with a gloomy look, "There is a reason why the Lycan became extinct. The Lycan are not friendly creatures, they kill humans, even fellow werewolves just for fun. The last Lycan was killed by the power of the three Alphas, after that no Lycan was ever seen again . Many victims fell when

I decide to go to the bathroom which is the farthest from my class, hoping that when I get back Eric and Jenna have finished talking about Prom. The back of our school is directly adjacent to the Pepperwell forest, even though there is a guard rail but in certain parts it has been damaged. The few kids who wanted to smoke or skip classes usually did so while hiding in the Pepperwell woods. The fresh morning air and the scent of the trees greeted me asI came out of the hall of the main building. There wasn't anyone in the backyard this morning, but usually a few kids who had skipped classes were hanging out under the Oak tree. I walked towards the bathroom slowly, enjoying the sound of the trees rustling in the wind from a distance.I wash my hands then wash my face a little while in the bathroom. When looking at the mirror in front of me my eyes were glued to my reflection, a few drops of water still running down my face. My eyes which are green bluish are now more blue in color, I wr

"Hmmm ... ""I shouldn't have bitten you. I couldn't control my dominant wolf, and you disappeared for 5 plus hours. My wolf-It just wanted to make sure you were okay.""Okay ... I understand. But what happened to me yesterday -Alex, I think there's something wrong with me." I muttered."I don't want to talk about yesterday."I looked at Alex who was washing his hands in the sink with a frown. He didn't look at me at all when he spoke to me."What do you mean? Alex, yesterday-""Cara, I don't want to talk about it now." He said slowly, as if he was talking to a child. "You're just lost." He added as he walked out of the kitchen. I watched his back walking away then followed him towards the room."Alex, I'm not lost. Something is happening to me. And what were you talking about the other day, about Lycan"Alex stopped for a moment then turned around, his eyes darkening. "Never talk about it to anyone. Do you understand?"I looked at Alex in disbelief, a few days ago he suspected me of
