They have nothing on the Days,” another man at the same table commented to put Ken at ease. “Weren’t they smug before? Well, I’m going to make them pay,” Ken said, his tone menacing. “Mr. Day, the competition is intense. The guests on the second floor are joining in,” another uttered. The rivals were never just the Hanberg father and son. “So what? Anyone else but the Hanbergs can win the auction,’ Ken said solemnly. “Well, aren’t you vengeful? But they deserve it. Why did they have to compete with you, Mr. Day?” “Anyway, you guys should pull your weight here. We can’t just give up on the chance to meet with the branch leader. This opportunity might not happen again,” Ken said as the mood lightened.
