ELSA ELKINS' POV "Meet me at the garage," My phone buzzed with a text message from an unidentified sender as I readied to go home that evening. My brows furrowed, and I wondered who it was. I thought it was Leonard since I had ignored his texts, but then, I knew Leonard wouldn't stoop so low just to get my attention. I thought about ignoring it, but later succumbed to it after I realized it could be important. "Who's this?" I replied to the text, and almost immediately my phone buzzed with a response from the anonymous sender. "You'd see for yourself." I scoffed. I was in no mood for that, but something about the text kept reaching out for me and I couldn't help satisfying my curiosity. I strolled to the garage and found a lady, back turned to the entrance, wearing a face cap, but she felt familiar. "You sent me a text?" I asked wondering who she was. My brows furrowed as I recognized who she was. Jessica turned towards me and her lips curled into a condescending smirk. "I'

ELSA ELKINS' POV,After staring at the calm, peaceful sea ahead of me, I checked the time and realized it was past Ten PM already.I sighed."Where should I go?" I muttered.I couldn't go back to my father's house, my mother wouldn't have it, not after Leonard had presented himself like the perfect husband during Daniella's wedding.I didn't need anyone to tell me they would tie me up and drag me back to Leonard. Daniella had relocated with her husband to Campeche. There was nowhere for me to go.The night chill enveloped me and I hugged myself. "I should have come out with a sweatshirt at least." I muttered beneath my breath. My phone began to ring again for the seventh time - Leonard clearly displayed as the caller. How dare he still try to reach me?I didn't come out with my card, I couldn't possibly lodge in a hotel. As I thought about where to pass the night Richard came to my mind. After about thirty seconds of struggling whether to call him or not, I said to myself. "He's a g

ELSA ELKINS' POV I kept tossing and turning, despite the soft comfort of the bed until the loud scream from somewhere, caught my attention. My curiosity got the best of me and I slipped out of the room wondering where it came from.As I drew closer to the staircase, I realized voices were coming from the sitting room."Escaped?""How did it happen?" There! Mr. Yuka was vibrating on the phone, standing ready like he was about to pull down the house with his raw anger.Richard was standing beside him, along with another hefty guy I hadn't seen before.Although I couldn't see their faces, I knew from the way they stood that something serious had happened."How could you be so careless? How could you let her escape?" Mr. Yuka fired. "Do you know what's at stake if Mr. Ricardo finds her first? You should have shot her instead!"My eyes bulged as his words slammed into me. I clutched my blouse and realized my heart was banging hard against my chest."What?" Mr. Yuka shouted again. "Ther

LEONARD KISH'S POV A cold chill ran down my spine as I called her for the eleventh time that night without a response. I had put a call across to Mr. Elkins, and the fact that she wasn't there only worsened it.As I contemplated where she might be, my phone began to ring."Yes, Sam." I quickly answered the phone, my heart pounding with expectations of good news."I've found her location." He quickly said, and my lips twitched with a rising hope."Where is she?" The words tumbled out of my lips.Sam hesitated a little which made my brows furrow."She's at De Yuka's villa!"Sam's words slammed into me, and my eyes popped open.I thought I hadn't heard him currently until his voice came again from the other end."From my observation, she has been in De Yuka's villa, since ten P.M."My grip on the phone tightened as his words resounded in my head.I faintly heard every other thing he said, my gaze was a blur, all I thought about was why De Yuka's?Although I knew Richard was hitting on h

LEONARD KISH'S POV The abandoned street was both empty and rough. Rods and bricks littered the ground from the partially collapsed buildings. It was dead silent as every renovation was placed on hold. As soon as we got to the start of New West street, I recognized the car in the parking lot of the abandoned store. The backup arrived almost immediately, they were twenty all together, dressed in black suits, waiting for my order. As I stared into the dilapidated buildings that lined up on both sides of the street, I tried to picture where she might be.After rounding up two buildings with no sight of her, I began to suspect Jessica as the mastermind behind it. I didn't need anyone to tell me it would be more difficult to locate Elsa if Jessica was really involved in it.The authorities soon arrived, and under strict regulations, we cooperated with the search. With every passing hours I grew increasingly desperate as we had searched till the middle of the street yet there was no sight
