Mila’s POV Slowly, I made my way back over to Beta Ryker, praying that he would have sympathy upon me, with what just happened, as he continued to stare at me, noticing the pain in my eyes. When I was within a few feet of him, I stopped, putting my head down, as he quickly moved around me, obviously looking at my back where the man in charge had inflicted my wound. “We need to get you to the pack doctor. Without your wolf, it won’t heal on its own.” Beta Ryker said to me with worry in his voice, as he reappeared in front of me, before he says to me, “You are lucky I got here when I did, it could have been much worse.” I knew that he had stopped the man in charge from hurting me, and I was thankful for that, but I also knew that he was the reason that everyone knew that I was Alpha Gunner’s breeder. He was the one that had announced it to the pack upon entering the dining room, but I knew that he was probably just doing what Alpha Gunner

Mila’s POV Whatever the doctor had given me to take away my pain, had taken over the entirety of my body, taking away not just my pain, but also put me into a deep sleep, as wonderful memories of my past with my family came to me in my state of unconsciousness. My mother, this time, was gently brushing my hair, as she prepared me for a celebration, as I looked down to see myself in a beautiful white gown. Once again, I had thought this to be a memory, but the dress was not one that I had ever worn before. Realization at that moment dawned on me, that this wasn’t a memory, but a moment in time, that I once again would never share with my family. When my mother was finished brushing my curls out, she says to me, “There, the Alpha will be pleased.” My eyes moved back up to the mirror to see her reflection in it, as I could see the happiness in her eyes for me, but I wondered what she meant by the Alpha would be pleased. Not

Mila’s POV The word stay sounded more like a plea than a command, as my eyes moved to look into his eyes. In his eyes, I could see his vulnerability, and for a moment I thought to myself that I could end his life right now, and free myself from his imprisonment. But then that thought disappeared before it was even fully formed, as I knew looking at him in the state he was in, I didn’t have it in me to do it. Something about his hold on my arm reminded me of the security he brought me, in my dream, and right now he was needing mine.My eyes at that moment moved to the pack doctor, who was staring between the to of us, confused just as much as I was, but then the look of recognition formed on his face, before he says, “Mila, I am going to need you to assist me in his surgery.” With the pack doctor now asking me for his help, I found myself trapped in staying, and I honestly didn’t know if the pack doctor truly needed me, or if he was just trying to persua

Gunner’s POV My eyes opened and all I could see was her beautiful half naked body on top of me, as her hips moved against my hardness, and I couldn’t help but let out a growl, loving the feeling of her body against my own. Her head that was turned towards the doors quickly turned back to me, as she looked down at me with desire in her eyes, accompanied with shock. Quickly, she pulled up a sheet wrapped around her lower half, covering her perfect breast, as she let out a slight scream. At first, I thought that her scream was meant for me, but then my eyes moved to the doors to see Beta Ryker standing in them, with his eyes glued to her body, with desire for her in them. A growl radiated from deep within me, catching his attention, making his eyes widen as they looked at me and not her. With a shaky voice he says to me, “I am sorry Alpha for disturbing you. The threat has been eliminated.” Mila gave out what sounded like a

Mila’s POV Exiting the pack doctor’s office, I realized night was upon me, as the moon hung high above my head in the sky, telling me that it was later than I had anticipated it to be. The cool night’s fresh air felt amazing entering my lungs, after being within the confinements of the infirmary for hours smelling the scent of blood in the air. I knew that my wolf was beginning to come forth, as my sense of smell was more enhanced than ever.As I looked around the grounds, I noticed that they were quiet, as only a few patrol men were in my sight, but I knew more were lurking within the woods that surrounded the packhouse. I would have thought after what had transpired today, there would be more patrol on duty, but with the many that had sustained injuries, I was for sure that they were at rest.An eerie feeling at that moment sent a chill down my spine, and I looked around as if to see someone watching me, as I began to walk quickly back towards the house, while I cont
