Alle Kapitel von My Best Friend’s Father Wants me: Kapitel 321 – Kapitel 330

Enora:I waited for him, and as a second passed by, I felt even sadder. He said he was going to come back in an hour, and it was almost 2 hours past the time. The meal I was making for him had gone cold; I didn't feel so clean and fresh in my new nightdress anymore.Soon, there was a knock at the door, and my spirits lifted slightly. I opened it and there he stood, exhausted, his eyes sunken in with a genuine smile across his lips.I folded my arms across my chest and turned my back to him.“You are late,” I said, feigning anger and walking back inside without so much as a hug or a kiss on his cheek. He rushed after me just as I was about to reach the sofa, grabbed my waist and pulled me to him.His body was tense, and he smelled like exhaustion.I gave in and hugged him back. I couldn't stay mad at him forever. Besides, it wasn't his fault that he was late.He moaned into my hair and pulled me even tighter, pressing me to his body, saving my warmth, and I did the same to him. I wish

Nathan:I was up early. Enora was still sleeping, nuzzled against my chest, the sheets barely covering both of us.I looked at the time on my phone, which was on the bedside table beside me. My alarm was about to go off in the next few minutes. The sun was barely in the sky when I woke up. Her face was covered by her hair, and I pushed some of it away to expose her beautiful sleeping face. She moaned my name slightly, turning away so that I could free my arm that was trapped under her.I smiled and grabbed my clothes that lay lazily on the chair. The court time was scheduled for 8:00 a.m. I could still do some preparation before then.I tiptoed out of her room and went to the living room, where my briefcase and jacket still lay lazily on the sofa. I smiled when I remembered how she tried to carry it and figured out how heavy it was.Sitting down, I opened it, taking my files out with my one hand and looking through them silently.I couldn't say that I wasn't nervous, even though I ha

Nathan:I sat in my seat quietly, my eyes darting to the jury every now and then. I watched them whisper and chatter among themselves in hushed tones while the judge continued to write on her paper. So far, we had been able to deliver a solid defense and the prosecution was left in the dust. However, Eliot's lawyer was, as well, on top of things, and they were doing a good job swaying the jury into believing that Elliott had nothing to do with the whole debacle.I sighed and reached for my bottle of water. It was expected, and I wasn't too keen on us being able to pin anything on Eliot. However, Maria and Instagram were going to pay heavy fines from the looks of things.I didn't recognize Maria when I saw her. As old as she was, when she worked for me, she looked quite young, but now her true age has come to the surface, and every time she looked at me, her eyes would fall, and she would turn away.I couldn't believe that this woman was related to Fiona. I employed both of them as sis

Enora:Dinner went better than expected, even though Nathan's attention wasn't fully on me.I didn't even realize how hungry I was until they brought out the meal. It was one of my favourites–chicken pesto–and smelled divine. I finished the first plate, but my stomach was still growling, so I had to ask for seconds.Every now and then, I had to call Nathan's attention back to me, and he would look at me with a gentle smile on his face.“I'm so sorry if my mind wandered somewhere else, kitten," he would say, reaching over to tug my cheek lovingly. “There's just so much that is going on in my head.”“I know,” I sighed, nuzzling my face deeper into his palm. I really wish that things were easier for him, but I guess that there was nothing that we could do until this case was over. The check came, and I quickly grabbed it before he could, and I watched the playful scowl on his face as I paid instead of him.“You do know that I'm still going to send you the money later,” he said as we st

Enora:It was Thursday, and I was so happy that the week was coming to an end. Today was the second-to-last proceeding of Nathan's case, and the case was going to end on Monday. Finally, I would be able to spend some time with him, and the week wouldn't be so lonely.Since the day that Nathan showed me the picture of Jasper and Dakota together, I had kept a keen eye on him. I still talk to him like usual and tried my best to pry information from him. It's not like I was trying to be sneaky or anything, but I knew Dakota well enough to know that something had to be going on between them. This relationship couldn't be for the sake of love. It had to be some kind of arrangement. What the hell did Dakota say to Jasper that made him fall for her?I thought that was being paranoid, but Emily was even worse. She wouldn't stop bugging Jasper, and soon Jasper found himself avoiding Emily at every turn.Jay, Nicki, and Luke had told her to give it a rest, but for some reason, she seemed determi
