The house was quiet, the scent of roses lingering in the air and the candlelight casting a soft glow in the living room just like she wanted. The maids had done a wonderful job with the décoration. Everything was perfect just as she had planned. Today marked another year of her marriage with the love of her life, Daniel Davids. The man she believed would be her forever. In her hands was a bottle of vintage wine which was a symbol of love, trust, and commitment. She had rushed home early, excited to surprise him. LATER THAT DAY Daniel walked into the house late at night after having dinner with Chloe at a hotel. He was ready for Renee’s questioning about why he was late.
