Rebecca you have to abort this child.” Derrick pinched the bridge of his nose saying. “Abort?” I opened my eyes wide open as the test result slipped from my hand. “How could you do this to me!” He suddenly flared. “I provided your pills and every contraceptive you required, yet you show up with a “thing” in your belly?.”he pointed. I gasped. “Derrick, we have been married for three years now!” I said, now fighting back the tears that were threatening to spill. “ and now you want me to terminate my baby?” “Married…” Derrick chuckled. “Do i need to remind you that this, union was an ‘arranged’ marriage”, he used his fingers to draw quotes. “But we agreed to make it work…” i trailed off, Derrick nodded his head in approval. “Yes we did. But like you always do, you ruin everything.” He said storming out of the door. There was a strange dark look in his eyes i had never seen before. It looked like resentment and undiluted anger. I picked myself up from the bed hurried

I wiped the rolls of tears that formed on my cheeks and immediately changed into my outfit. Patting my cheeks so they don't appear puffy. Outside of the hospital, drew stood smartly by the car, ushering me in. “Thank you.” I mouthed. Through the ride, there was no denying of the tension which hung in the air as i kept tossing from one side to another. But Drews eyes were focused on the road and he uttered no word until we arrived at mom and dads. “Ill be waiting outside.” He said, putting on his shades. as we stepped out. “Aren't you coming in?” “I don't think so..” he answered. “And what if i insist?” I asked. “ have a wonderful thanksgiving ma'am.” He said firmly. Extending a forced smile. His words cut deep but with a pursed lip, i shrugged my shoulders and gave a curt nod. I couldn't understand the pang i felt within me. As i walked into the house, i felt a familiar ache across my chest. There were pictures on the wall which held a decades worth story,

I hopped down the car without thinking and started moving towards the hospital door in a daze. More than before, i needed to get this baby out of me, maybe it would get derrick back to his senses. The thought of Fiona ran through my mind. But my senses were dulled. The unbelieving part of me could not bring myself to accept it was my blood sister Fiona derrick was having a secret affair with. Drew. “Damn.” I said so many harmful things to him when all he sincerely wanted to do was help. Maybe i should text him I'm sorry? I ruffled my shaky hands into my bag and plucked out my phone from where it sat. “Sit and wait for me.” Derrick ordered. I sighed deeply as i sent the text message. And in the next three seconds my phone began to ring. My heart thumped a bit faster. Then i answered it and slowly lifted it to my ear. “Im the one who should be sorry. Reb…” he paused. Retracing his words. “Mrs Rebecca.” “I went too far, I could not control my hands, my emotions , my

My feet felt like they were planted deep into the ground. Like,I suddenly managed to forget how to move. As my knees failed me, I slid my back down the cold feel of the door, till my butt kissed the floor. My knees curled up to my chest as I sat, head against the sexual banging door. Mentally trapped, I realized I was too weak to think of what next to do and too paralysed to get up. "Excuse me ma'am." A security officer beckoned at me. "Are you okay?" he asked. Tucking his gun into his pouch. His presence and question felt like what I needed to get my head thinking again. "Is this your car?" He asked again. I shook my head solemnly and gently mustered all the strength I had and stood up. The subtle movement of the vehicle, however pulled his attention and as he walked closer to inspect it, he heard the sexual sounds coming from inside, which concerned him to clear his throat. "You shouldn't be here ma'am." He said lightly. "You are infringing on peoples p

“Who was that?” Derricks voice resounded as i walked steadily past the doorway. My heart froze at the sound of his voice. Despite everything he put me through, i couldn't understand the butterflies that still flapped in my belly. Neither could i understand which emotion struggled to play first. Was it resentment?, anger? or a hot boil of both? The mere sight of him sitting cooly, pissed me off. With an ambience of purity, like he wasn't fast burying his dick into Fiona's pussy a couple hours ago.Why couldn't i hate this man for godsake. I needed to get even in some sort of way. “Rebecca, I'm talking to you.” He dusted off the cigarette smoke into the ash tray saying.I pursed my lips and swallowed. “He dropped me off.”“Who Rebecca! I said who!.” He flared. “Maybe if you had…” i paused, saying. “Waited at least, for me back at the hospital that question would not have existed.” He took off his glasses and smirked. “I see.” “I can see you borrowed some audacity. Well, i c
