Five years together, and it still feels like a dream," Daniel whispered, his breath tickling my ear as we danced in the middle of the crowd.I smiled, feeling like the luckiest woman alive. “I know exactly what you mean”.I replied, my voice barely above a whisper.“Happy anniversary emily” I turned around and saw my sister in law Claire holding a glass of wine and standing in front of me with her eyes filled with malice.I stared at the drink for a while, filled with shock and fear. If I hadn't checked my beloved husband's phone last, would I ever have imagined that he planned on drugging me and getting my nude video leaked online just so he could run back to his old lover."Hey, babe, Claire's got your drink,”Daniel said, his voice a gentle reminder. I turned to face him, my smile frozen in place. "Thanks," I said, forcing a lightness I didn't feel. As I took the glass from Claire, our fingers touched, and I felt a chill run down my spine."Enjoy your anniversary," Claire said, h

I turned and left without altering a word , I felt a mix of emotions: anger, hurt, and disappointment. But before I could take another step, I saw Claire standing in the doorway of the guest room, a mischievous glint in her eye."Be careful not to play with fire, Emily," she said, her voice low and taunting. "You might just get burned."I felt a shiver run down my spine as she smiled and walked out of the away, leaving me standing there, feeling vulnerable and exposed.I walked into the room, my legs shaking with emotion. As soon as the door closed behind me, I let out a sob and collapsed onto the bed, tears streaming down my face. The tears flowed freely, and I cried until I was exhausted, my body wracked with sobs. Eventually, I fell into a fitful sleep, my dreams filled with images of Daniel and laura.》》》》》The next morning, I woke up feeling drained and empty, my eyes puffy from crying. I looked around the room and saw a white envelope beside My bed. When I opened it, it was a l

Few ours has passed slowly my eyes, adjusting to the dim light of the room. It was around 11:45 PM. I looked around, but the man who had rescued me was nowhere to be seen. A pang of disappointment hit me, mixed with gratitude for his timely intervention.I gingerly got up, testing my ankle. It was sore, but I could walk. I made my way to the party room, expecting to find chaos or at least some signs of the earlier gathering. But the room was empty, silent, and spotless. It was as if the party had never happened. The clock on the wall read 12:05 AM.I shrugged, deciding it was time to head home. The night had been strange and terrifying, and I just wanted to crawl into bed and forget it all. I made my way out of the venue, the cool midnight air a welcome relief after the drama I'd endured.》》》》》》I walked into the house, exhausted and shaken. But what I saw made my blood run cold. Daniel was sitting on the couch, with Laura perched on his lap. She was giggling and whispering in h

“you what… Daniel ?, after all these years of waiting for you?”. Her eyes dropped dead.“ you have no idea of what I am capable of, Daniel ”.“Laura can you… please you are driving me insane already” Daniel said with eyes filled with fear Laura's laughter was sharp and devoid of humor. "Oh, *Daniel*. Snap out of it! 'Feel something for Emily'? Please. You see her as a loose end, a pretty little obstacle you charmed into submission. She was never your equal, was she? Just... prey in your world. And I? I was waiting for you to finish your little game."She stepped closer, her voice dropping to a venomous whisper. "Don't insult my intelligence, Daniel. Don't pretend this sudden pang of 'feeling' is anything more than fear and guilt talking”. “You don't love her. You control her. And I... I love you. Enough to keep your secrets, enough to finally have you by my side."He ran a hand through his hair, feeling trapped. "So... what do you want me to do?"Laura's eyes glittered with ant

Daniel’s face went ashen. His eyes, wide with horror, darted from the phone screen to Laura, then back to me. The playful smirk vanished from my face, replaced by a cold, unsettling stillness. Laura gasped, a hand flying to her mouth, her eyes fixed on the chilling image. “I watched them, my expression unreadable. As Daniel’s jaw tightened, I took a slow step towards him, my gaze fixed on the phone in his trembling hand." get lost! Emily, " Daniel roared, his voice cracking with a mixture of fear and fury. He clutched the phone tighter, as if the image on the screen might leap out at him. Without another word, he spun on his heel and stormed towards the room. Laura, pale and shaking, didn't hesitate to follow him, her eyes wide with terror, not daring to spare me another glance.I stood in the silence of the sitting room, a faint, unsettling smile playing on my lips.
