Luca's Pov The thin, wet blades of grass tickled my chest through the dark green turtleneck I wore. I blinked water out of my eyes as I shuffled forward on my elbows. Clouds gathered a few minutes ago and a light drizzle had begun. It increased in intensity, soaking through my clothes within seconds. A crackle came from the earpiece stuck in my right ear. “Boss? Can you hear me?” Elias' voice came in faintly. “Yeah, a little.” I wiped a hand across my eyes, the rain had started to pour. “Connectivity issues due to the weather but it should blow over in a few.” Sage said, her voice fainter than Elias’s. I grunted in reply. Fat chance it would rain on the day of a very important mission in my life. The hospital building stood tall and imposing before me. Red brick walls, iron barred windows and a wide breadth of chain linked fence around it. I had briefly wondered why they had chosen a chain fence instead of a concrete wall.
