Luca's Pov The silence in the aftermath was loud. One unconscious, One dead. I withdrew my knives, from the shin of one and the neck of the other. I wiped them clean on their clothes. The staff uniform I wore had blood stains on them now. Only drops but they stood out on the pale green fabric. I would have to switch disguises again. The dead guard was bloodied up so it'll have to be the other one. I'd have to hope I got far enough without anyone noticing the tear in the pant leg. “Damm.” Sage breathed out. “What's the status on the next floor, Sage?” I asked as I changed quickly. “Um, uhh…There's a lot more dudes there. Luca's Pov The blood moved sluggishly against the white tiles, heading for the first stair. “Let's hope no one comes down this corridor in the next ten minutes.” I muttered to myself as the finger came loose. There was only a light crackle through the earpiece so Sage and Elias must've logged off again. A few minutes early this time. I took a deep breath, steadying myself. The gun with the silencer attached held only a few bullets at a time so the automatic was my best bet. Going in quietly would be impossible now. I adjusted my disguise, making sure the clothes fit snugly and then I pressed the severed finger to the sensor and it pinged. The door made a low buzzing sound and slid open. Another long corridor. Two hefty guards with their backs to the wall. They turned when I entered and I had a small moment of hope as I walked past them without any hassle. Luca's Pov Due to our new living conditions and financial situation, Dara had to work multiple shifts. This meant less time on her hands for homeschooling Ollie so she had to put him in school.
