(Ivy's POV) Allan’s jaw tightened, but he seemed to know better than to provoke Ryker. “We were swimming in the ocean just past the forest,” I blurted suddenly. Both of them turned to me, confusion etched on their faces. I shot Ryker a pointed look, silently telling him to just go with it. He pursed his lips and nodded. I don’t know if he believed me or not but he eventually dropped the topic. “If it’s okay, can you drive us back to town?” I asked. Allan looked at me, then at Ryker, and he was clearly displeased since Ryker kept giving him that look as if he was stabbing him a thousand times. “Yeah, sure, get in.” He said, shooting a forced smile my way. “Thank you,” I murmured, turning to Ryker.
