Sabrina’s POVAfter LAW220, we dived straight into Econ 102 and then the rest of my classes before I was finally done for the day. But my day would never be complete without my iced latte. I dashed straight to the café and ordered my drink. Actually, I ordered two. A backup was necessary in case the café ran out when I needed another refill.Just as I was waiting for my order, Jace appeared to place his. Apparently, his assistant wasn’t in sight.“Can I get an iced latte, please?” he asked casually, eyes glued to his phone.“Sorry, sir. We’re out. That was the last order,” the barista said as he handed me my two cups. I grabbed them with both hands, muttering a soft “thank you.”“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Jace snapped, his head shooting up. “She just ordered two cups, and now you’re out?” His face twisted in annoyance, and the disgust there was so obvious it sent a wave of satisfaction rushing through me.“I’m sorry, sir,” the barista said politely. “If you had come just a few min

Jace’s POVThe sound of a cheerful voice broke through my sleep like nails on glass.“Hi guys, welcome to my vlog! Today, I’ll be showing you everything I do in a day in New York City. As you all know, I accompanied my father here for a business meeting, and my stay has been pure bliss. I’m currently in my boyfriend’s house, my soon-to-be husband, I mean. We’re betrothed, and our love has grown stronger since I moved to New York. Let me show you how I wake him up in the morning.”The words filtered through my foggy brain before I even realized what was happening. I shifted under the duvet, half-asleep, the city hum faint through the curtains. Then warmth pressed against my lips an unwanted kiss.“Wakeee! Wakeee! Good morning, baby.”I cracked one eye open and saw Wendy leaning over me, camera in hand, recording every damn second.“What the hell are you doing? Go away…” My voice was rough and hoarse from sleep, and I rolled over to face the wall. She giggled like this was some kind of

Jace’s POVI was on my way to see my father. He had specifically requested my presence at the Grand Hotel, where a formal function was being hosted. Scott was with me, as always, and though on the surface this was just another public appearance, I knew it was the perfect time to finally tell my father about Wendy and her increasingly reckless behaviour. She was getting out of hand.Scott shifted beside me in the car, eyeing me carefully. “You need to calm down, Jace. You’re boiling under that suit, and honestly, you don’t look good.”“How can I calm down, Scott?” I snapped. “Did you not see the garbage she posted? I thought you told her not to.”“I tried,” he said with a sigh. “But she wanted information about Sabrina. That was the bait.”“That bitch!” My jaw clenched. “And Sabrina? Have you scheduled our study session for the assignment?”“I’ve tried calling her. She keeps declining. She hasn’t responded to a single message I sent.”“Damn.” I leaned back, exhaling through my nose. “

Sabrina’s POV“Hurry up, Bree! He’ll be here any minute; we’re already running late.”“You better calm down, Sabrina,” she teased. “I need your curls to be perfect. Just one last turn and you’re done.”She curled the last section, then slipped me into my red dress. My face was already made up, so she combed out my curls with a wide-tooth comb until they spilled down my shoulders, one wave falling across my right eye.“Damn!” Bree gasped. “You look like a superstar.”“Isn’t that what I am?” I smirked, and we both burst into laughter. The sound of an engine roaring filled the street outside. Simon was revving his McLaren 720S, making sure the entire neighbourhood knew he’d arrived. He and I had talked about it last night; he’d insisted on picking me up himself for the couples’ event at Wexford. I told him to send his driver, but Simon was too stubborn. This week was Couples Week, and he was determined to show everyone that we were the power couple.“Oh my God, he’s here already! Bree, h

Sabrina’s POVI felt Simon’s hand pressed against mine as we both watched Alice try to ridicule me, but what pressed harder was the anger inside me. I thought I was going to explode. My fingers itched, and for a wild second I wanted to smash her head against the podium. I never thought I was capable of hate until tonight. My jaw locked so tight it hurt, but I forced a smile. No way was I going to let her believe her little stunt got to me.“Ignore her, babe,” Simon whispered, his voice warm against the shell of my ear.“Nah… it’s nothing. She’s only embarrassing herself.” I forced a small laugh and shifted the topic quickly. “By the way, I haven’t seen Chloe around in school for a while. She alright?”Not that I cared. I didn’t like her enough to ask, but the question was a lifeline, a distraction from the sting still burning through my chest. My eyes flicked back to the stage just in time to see Jace casually tug Alice away. She dropped the mic and the sound cracked sharply through th
