Chapter 1

Rain POV:"Boy, it's time to get up, and make us breakfast," I woke up to my dad yelling at me from upstairs. I lay there for a couple of more seconds before I stretch my arms out and above my head and sit up."Another long day," I say, grabbing the thin blanket and throwing it off of me. I get up as the bed frame shrieks letting me know just how old it actually is. I sigh and walk over to my small dresser and open it and sift through the little clothes that I own. I don't own much and to me, that's a good thing. I only have what I need and that means that it is easier for me when I leave. Chapter 2

Rex POV:"So what are we going to be doing today?" Alex, my beta, and one of my best friends said to me sitting down in front of my desk."I don't know, I'll probably train the warriors and have Kevin train the teens," I say, putting down the paperwork that I was currently looking at, down on the desk. I don't really have anything planned other than training the warriors. Rain POV:It's been almost a week since I've run away from my old pack, and my mate, sometimes I just want to run back, but every time I stop myself because I know that there might be a chance that I run into my old pack, and I'm scared what they would do to me once they realize that I've run away. Every time I think about my mate and how I just left my chest hurts, and Whisper starts to whimper in the back of my mind thinking that they won't like us because we ran away from them, and not towards them. Chapter 4

Rain POV:We sat on the bed getting to know each other for hours when we started the moon was high in the sky. I don't know for how long we were talking to each other but I learned a lot about Rex. I learned that he's 22 years old and that he willingly became a rogue wolf along with his beta and gamma. Chapter 5

Rex POV:"He's here," Dennis says, walking up to me, I nod my head and look over to him, and see him standing over with Becca and Owen. I feel someone hit my shoulder and I turn to see Alex and Dennis with some smirks on both their faces."What?" I ask, confused by why they were looking at me like that."You are so whipped, and you haven't even marked him yet," Dennis says, causing Alex to nod his head. I sigh and push them out of the way so that I can walk onto the makeshift stage that we have for whenever there is a pack meeting. I walk to the middle of the stage and look out at my small little pack that I have grown over the years. Some of the pack members notice and stop talking and look towards me while others don't seem to notice. I clear my throat and start to speak, getting the rest of the packs' attention.

Rain POV:"So how was it?" Owen asks, sitting down next to me on the couch, with a bowl of fruit."What is he talking about?" Rex POV:I wake up in a room that I haven't slept in in months, when the realization of where I am hits me, I panic a little and think that the last couple of months was just a dream and freeze when I feel something that feels like a body attached to my side. But I am relieved when I look down to see my beautiful mate Rain, laying down on my chest, and being as beautiful as ever. While looking at him I remember all the events last night and the fear that I had that I may lose the mate that I had finally gotten after all those years of searching.I lay there with Rain laying on me for a few more minutes, before I link my beta, delta, and chief warrior, so we can talk about how the rogue somehow made it past the warriors and onto pack land. Rain POV:“That box goes there” I say pointing to a spot in the corner, next to a bookcase, for Dennis to set the box that he was holding down. Owen and I were tasked with taking the stuff out of the boxes and putting things away, something about us not being that strong to help with them, not that I'm complaining because that is a job that I definitely do not want and I can tell that Owen agrees with me.“Where do these ones go?” I look up from the box that I was opening in the corner to see both Alex and Becca walking in with boxes. Rex POV:Waking up next to my mate will never get old, this will always be the start of the day that I will look forward to when I go to bed. I love the feeling of Rain in my arms, and the faint smell that he gives off, that is unique to only him, this scent has become my favorite in the world. I sigh when I hear a ring from a phone, I look over to the side and see my phone sitting there, I look down and see the Rain is still asleep and let out a little sigh, thanking the moon goddess that he didn't wake up. I reach over, grabbing my phone and turning the alarm off. I contemplate staying in bed and sleeping in for sometime, but decide not to, if I stay in then the work will take longer to do and I might have to stay longer than I plan to. So I gently move Rain from off top on me and lay him back down and get out of bed, turning I see him grab my pillow and pull it to his chest which puts a smile on my face.
