Chapter 5

Rex POV:

"He's here," Dennis says, walking up to me, I nod my head and look over to him, and see him standing over with Becca and Owen. I feel someone hit my shoulder and I turn to see Alex and Dennis with some smirks on both their faces.

"What?" I ask, confused by why they were looking at me like that.

"You are so whipped, and you haven't even marked him yet," Dennis says, causing Alex to nod his head. I sigh and push them out of the way so that I can walk onto the makeshift stage that we have for whenever there is a pack meeting. I walk to the middle of the stage and look out at my small little pack that I have grown over the years. Some of the pack members notice and stop talking and look towards me while others don't seem to notice. I clear my throat and start to speak, getting the rest of the packs' attention.

"Hello, everyone I bet you're all wondering why I have asked you all to gather here today?" I say getting the rest of the pack's attention.

"Well, over a few weeks ago we attacked The Moonlight Pack, and while there I happened to find something, something very precious and important to me and all of you" I start my speech to my pack, and I can see that they are interested in what I am saying. I smile thinking about my mate and all that I have learned and the time that I have spent with him, these past couple of days, or what feels like days.

"I have met my mate, the one that is my other half, the rest of my soul. He will be my equal, and your Luna, so I hope you treat him as you are to treat me." I say looking at every one of them, and making sure that they get the idea that Rain is my equal and that no one shall tell him otherwise, not even himself. I see Rain, Owen, and Becca walk over towards the edge of the stage.

"So with that being said, I would like to officially introduce you to my mate and your new Luna, Rain," I say, holding out my hand to him so I can help him up onto the stage. Rain looks out at the crowd and then back at me, I can see how nervous he is, just by looking at his eyes. I give him a reassuring smile, hoping that it will work, and when he smiles at me back I know that it did. I pull him up onto the stage with me and pull him towards me so that he is in my arms. I get lost in his eyes when he looks up at me, all the pack disappears and it is just me and him.

I am pulled out of my thoughts when someone behind me clears their throat and I shake my head and look out at my pack and then back at Rain, who has a big smile on his face, he is just radiating calmness and safety.

"He's going to be great for this pack"

Shadow purrs in my head while we look at our mate. I nod at Rain a silent question asking if he is ready to pack Luna. And get a spark of relief when he nods and smiles back at me with another big smile on his face.

"Do you Rain Hale, promise to lead, protect, and nurture the members of The Blood Guardian pack?" I ask after turning towards Rain and getting all serious.

"I, Rain Hale, promise to lead, protect, and nurture the members of The Blood Guardian pack." Rain replies back to me.

"Then, I am happy to pronounce you the Luna and new member of The Blood Guardian pack," I say grabbing his hand and I can feel the rush that comes when a new member joins the pack. I can also hear all the pack members welcoming Rain into the pack, and being the new Luna. I pull him into me and help him to block out all the members. I know from what he told me last night that he has never had training on opening and closing a pack link, and I told him that I would help him. And as the Alpha, I can help my members to close the link, this is so when a new wolf transforms, it can be hard on them at first, so I am there in case they ever need it.

After standing on stage for a couple of more minutes, and more people congratulating us on finding each other. We get off on stage and Alex walks up to announce that the meeting is over and that they can go back to what they were doing. I take Rain back to the house so that we can eat and get to know each other even more. No matter how much he tells me, and vice versa, I will always be willing to learn new things about him and tell him new things about me.

"I can't believe it," Rain says when we walk in the front door.

"What?" I ask walking in behind him and follow him into the living room, and sit down next to him on the couch.

"That I am out of my old pack, that I am a Luna, that I have a mate, you pick, these were all things that I only dreamed of happening, not ever believing that they would come true." Rain says, holding out his arms and looking around with a smile on his face.

"Well, believe it cause you are my mate, you are a Luna, and you are never going back to that disgrace that wants to call itself a pack," I say looking at him and grabbing his arms so that I can look him in the face.

"Never let go of me," Rain says, grabbing my arms with a tight grip.

"Never," I say, pulling him towards me and into my arms.

It has been a couple of days since I officially announced Rain to the pack, and I have never been so proud of him. He is opening up to all of the members of the pack and even helps them with whatever they need. Sometimes he will go to the daycare that we have and help out taking care of the kids.

I can't wait to mate and have kids of our own. An image of Rain's belly swollen with my pups inside popped into my head and it gave me a fluttering feeling of happiness. I never really thought of having kids in my life, but when I think that I will have them with Rain by my side I can't think of never having them.

"What you are thinking about, cause that smile that you have on your face is really starting to creep me out," Alex asks, pulling me out of my thoughts of Rain and my future pups.

"Nothing," I say, shaking my head and looking down to get back to work.

"Ok," Alex says and I can hear the smirk that is on his face.

"Wipe that smirk off your face," I say, not even looking up at him, and I hear him let out a chuckle and then we go back to the peaceful quiet that we were in before he started talking.

I put the last piece of paper that I have been working on, signifying that they were done on the pile of papers. I got up with a sigh and looked around realizing that I am the only one in the room.

"Alex must have left already," I think to myself, and look at the time, and my eyes almost jump out of their sockets when I notice what time it is.

"Shit, I missed dinner," I say out loud and run out of the room, running home so I can apologize to Rain for missing dinner.

"I'm home, sorry babe, I got so into that paperwork, that I didn't realize what time it was, stupid Alex, leaving and not even telling," I say walking into the house and to the living room, not finding Rain there.

"Rain?" I ask walking to the kitchen and not find him in there either, but I see tonight's dinner sitting on the island all wrapped up with a note.

Rex,

Alex told me that you were so into your work that you didn't notice that it was getting late. He said not to be mad because you wanted to finish your work so that nothing distracted you, and we could spend some time together without all the paperwork hanging over your head, making you have to go back.

I hope you like dinner, wake me up when you come home, cause even if we don't eat at the same time I still would like to be with you.

I let out a little laugh at the cute note that Rain wrote. I can see him sitting here writing it with that cute little blush that I happen to have when he gets embarrassed.

I walk to the stairs and up to our bedroom when I open the door I see Rain laying down sleeping peacefully. I wonder if I should wake him up, even though he said I don't want to disturb him. I stand by the bed watching him some more before I decide to wake him, cause I don't want my baby to be mad that I ate dinner and didn't wake him as he said to.

"Rain," I say whispering in his ear, and lightly shaking him, he hums in response, and I do it again successfully waking him from his slumber.

"Rex?" Rain asks, turning towards me and rubbing his eyes sitting up in bed.

"Hi, baby, sorry I'm late," I say standing up and holding out my hand for him to grab it. I smile when he reaches out and grabs my hand, I help him onto his feet and pull him into a hug, and kiss the top of his head.

"Did you finish your work?" He asks and I can still hear the sleep in his voice.

"Yes, I did, now I'm all yours, for a long time," I say, pulling him away from me so I can get a look, and I can see that he is still half asleep.

"Go back to bed, I can tell you're still tired, I just wanted to tell you that I'm back," I say, pushing him to lay back down on the bed.

"No, I told you to wake me up so we could spend time while you eat. You haven't eaten yet have you?" Rain quickly says, standing back up and looking at me, and I let out a chuckle seeing that he was trying to give me a look that told me that he was going to be mad at me if I did.

"No, baby, I didn't, I know how much you want to eat with me, so I waited, but I don't want you to be tired in the morning, cause I woke you up, and you stayed up so late, because of me," I say standing back so watching him walk over to the door.

"I won't be tired, plus even if I am, we can spend all day tomorrow laying in bed, so let's go, you must be hungry" Rain says, turning around, nodding at me, then walking over to the door, and leaving the room, and walks towards the kitchen.

"Ok, whatever you say," I say to myself, following him to the kitchen so that I can finally eat, and with my baby.

"So how did everything happen?" Rain asks, turning around in my arms and wrapping his arms around my neck.

"Nothing, just papers, and more papers, of stuff, people wanting to join, others wanting an alliance with the pack, and some of my warriors that I sent scouting for some things, checking in telling me what they have found," I say looking down at him and in his eyes.

We stare into each other's eyes, and everything seems to disappear, every time this happens. We start to lean closer and our lips draw nearer. But that is cut short when the beeping of the microwave holding my now warm dinner starts to beep, telling us that it is done with its task of heating the food. Rain laughs and turns around, opening the little door, pulling out the food and out of my arms, walks over to the island, placing the food on it, and sitting down on one of the chairs. I turn to follow him so I can eat, but before I can I send a glare towards the machine.

"Ha, you got cock-blocked by a machine," Shadow says in my head

"Shut up, don't act like you're not upset that we were interrupted either" I reply to him and shut off our link when I hear him huff knowing that he agrees with what I said. I smile at the rain when I sit down and grab a fork and start to eat.

"So?" Rain asks, leaning on his hand that is resting on the island.

"It fantastic, your cooking is so good, I'm never missing dinner again because I bet it will be even better if we are eating together," I say grabbing his hand and pulling it towards my lips to give it a little kiss, and I have a small smile on my face when I see the faint blush that has found its way onto Rain cheeks. Even though we have gotten more intimate with each other, it always makes him blush, but I think he is getting more used to it, cause he's not blushing as much as he was when we first met. But I do always like to see him blush so, to achieve this I always surprise him with new things, and see what reaction I can get out of him.

"So how was your day, baby?" I ask, putting down my fork on my empty plate.

"Oh, it was so nice, all the pack members are so sweet and welcoming to me, and I feel so loved, and the kids at the daycare are so sweet, I can't wait to have one of my own." Rain causes me to have a wide smile at the last thing he said.

"So, you want a pup?" I ask and he starts to blush when he realizes what he just said, I can't get enough of his blushing face.

"Well, I always imagined having one with my mate, I've always loved kids and I want one of my own running around, but if you don't want one, I don't mind, we don't need.." Rain says and I cut him off before he can say anything.

"I want to have kids Rain, but there is something that you did get wrong," I say and see him leave out a sigh of what I guess is a relief.

"I want more than one pup baby," I say and his eyes go wide, and a beautiful smile that lights up his face finds its way onto his face.

"Really?" He asks and I nod my head, causing a smile to find its way onto my face when he grows impossibly bigger, lighting up his face even more.

"I love you," Rain says grabbing me and hugging me, I still, when I hear him say those words, and I can feel him still realizing what he said, he pulls away and looks at my face and I can see him start to get nervous cause I didn't reply to him, but I am so caught up in my thoughts, to reply.

"Uh, I do indeed love you, I know it is too early, but I can't hide my feelings anymore, I love you so much, you don't have to say them to me right now, but I want you to know that I do"

"I love you too," I say, cutting him off from what he was saying, and I do love him, I have loved him from the moment I saw him run off into those woods on that fateful day. He grants me the pleasure of seeing another one of his smiles and hugs me again and I hug him to then, I pull away putting my hand under his chin and tilt his head back up and lean down and kiss him, and sweet, and a kiss full of love, one that conveys to him just how much I love him.

We pull away from the kiss and stare at each other in the eyes. I grab his hand and pull him with me up the stairs and to our bedroom. When we get in there I close the door behind me and he walks towards the bed and stands there looking at me. I walk over to him, and lay him down on the bed, not breaking eye contact, I stand back up and grab the hem of my shirt and pull it over my head, never breaking contact with him. I then unbutton my pants and pull them down to my ankles and throw them off into oblivion. I then stand in front of him with nothing but my boxers on. I notice him looking at me up and down, then he starts to strip and I know that I have gotten the ok from him to continue with what I was doing. I lean down on the bed so that I am on top of him with my weight on my elbows, and I lean down and kiss him, with him kissing back.

"Are you sure?" I ask to make sure that this is something that he really wants before I continue with what I was doing. He gives me a nod telling me that he is sure that he wants to continue.

"Cause once I start, I don't know if I'll be able to stop," I say again, really making sure.

"Rex, make love to me," Rain says, and that is all I need before I lose control, and start to kiss him again, pulling off my boxers and ripping him off him.

I never imagined that I would have this life and now that I know what it feels like I am never given it up. I follow him downstairs to the kitchen, and I see him heating the dinner that he made me. I walk up behind him and hug him, pulling him so his back is to me. After these couple of days of getting to know each other, we have also become very intimate, but I haven't marked him yet. I want it to be very special because it will be our first time.

"We are stuck together my little mate, forever and always."
