Ava's POV I can't believe that I almost lost Lorenzo twice.First he was taken by the police on false claims. Who would hate him so much to put him in prison? And Lorenzo walked away like he was expecting it. I could swear I saw him smile as he left the store. Was it a joke?Him in handcuffs. The press avalanche at the front of the store made me think he was gone.Leaving the interpol office and almost being killed by a drunk driver but Pedro argues the truck wasn't driven by a drunk man. This made the hairs on my back stand. My injury had healed without scars.Lorenzo still laid on his back. His right arm was hung on a sling and his abdomen was wrapped in bandaid. The doctor says he will be back on his feet in a week but I am guessing it might be sooner.“Help me get up.” Lorenzo said as he shifted slightly wincing under the pain.I woke up on the chair beside Lorenzo and punched the bed remote to make the headstand rise. I came closer to adjust his pillows. He grabs my hand. “ Yo

Isabella's POV The rain pattered on the window as I let out small puffs of smoke tapping the cigar on the crystal plate in front of me. How come Lorenzo's girlfriend looks so much like that girl?I took a sip of my scotch on the rocks.”Such a shame.”I didn't know when the word left my lips.“What shame?” Antonio asked as he planted a kiss on my shoulders. The softness of his lips and smacking noise made my body shudder.“Lorenzo's girlfriend, did you see her?” I rubbed the hairs on his chest.“My eyes were on you the whole time.” How satisfying.“I am being serious.” I snapped.“I did. What does it concern you?”“She looked so much like…,” I lowered my voice. “Like who?”“Not sure. Maybe I am wrong.” I plant a kiss on his lips.“You can never be wrong.” I love it when Antonio kisses my ass. Even though he literally does, but why do I have this gnawing dread at the back of my head. “What do you say her name was again?”“When you begin to act like this. That means she is a threat

The air smelled like the moist earth and coffee. The rain drizzled and people walked with bent heads and umbrellas to avoid being wet. Some young people hung by the sides of sidewalks in front of the small Cafes and restaurant. As we made our way out of the car in front of the stairs. The driver passed the key to the Valet as he held the umbrella over our heads.“My brother should be here any minute from now.” She looked at her phone screen before tossing it back into her tote bag.We walked together up the stairs as the door flung open. The warm aroma of grounded coffee beans and fresh truffles filled my nose. Each table had at least three persons. Some were busy with papers, others with laptops. My eyes wandered to table in a corner a mother with a giggling little girl. She was all dressed in suit and her daughter in flory gown. “Good evening ma’am.” We were greeted by a waiter dressed in white and red. “Would you like a table?”“We would like something exquisite.”He led us up the

Ava’s POVThe mansion was too quiet as I got out of my bed. My muscles felt relaxed from the long hours of induced sleep. The sedative kicked in as I tried to fight it but my eyes fluttered shut as I looked at Lorenzo's eyes as it gazed at me and the volume of the machines surrounding went down into silence.Just few minutes of getting up. A man with grey hair on tweed jacket walked in on me as I pulled my robe.“How are you doing Ms.Ava?”“Who are you?”“Dr. Luter.”“What are you doing here? I don't think Lorenzo wants you here.”“I do.” Lorenzo walks in on both of us. My eyes lit up when I turn to see him. Hand out of sling but still bandaged. A coffee in his other hand. “And yeah I am a bit okay.” He lifted his arm.“How long have I been out?” Weeks. Months.“Just a couple of days, Ms Ava.”“5 days” Lorenzo responded sipping his coffee. My eyes darted from him to Dr. Luter.“Yes, Five days.”“You are pulling a trick on me right,” I turned to look at Lorenzo. He shook his head. Dr

Lorenzo's POV I woke up to Ava sleeping next to me. Pain shot up by abdomen as I shifted my weight to get up. “What are you doing?” Ava turned to look at me. Her face glowed like the morning sun. “What does it look like?” I tossed the sheet aside as I got up.“You shouldn't —-I raise my fingers. She kept shut. Getting up too.“You should rest for the whole of today.” Her voice dripping with care and calm confidence. She walked to my side of the bed and stood in front of me. “So, it would not rip.”My gaze was on her cherry lips as she spoke. I couldn't resist looking at her breast as she stood in front of me. The light passing through her blood stained white shirt giving me a view of her silhouette.“What are you—” She wrapped her arms around her body.I smirked as she moved out of the light. “I need to freshen up.”“You have got to be kidding. Let me get you a wash cloth. You know nothing about having fresh stitches, do you?” Her breast bobbed as she scolded.“And you do?”“My b
