[Avira] I straightened up as slowly as I could, trying hard not to give my fear away, and thanking my stars that I had already kept the healing portion back to where I had taken it from before the Beta came in. [Avira]I rolled quickly to the far end of my bed which was farthest from the door, and laid there. Well, I laid on the bed while my head was up, waiting for the slightest form of danger so as to jump out of the bed.The Beta, now a wolf pushed heavily at the door some more, and each time he did, I felt my wolf whimpering in so much fear from within me. [Avira]I shook my head quickly, while my gaze was fixed on the Beta. I didn't bother with my voice as I was sure it would quiver. The accusation which the Beta had against me was not one to be taken lightly, and yet I could not use my voice, or defend myself with my words.Apart from quivering in fear, speaking would only make it worse, past experiences had taught me so. [Beta Maverick]It was easier to be a better guardian to Avira before now, before I ventured into the deepest part of the pack's forest, the part which was considered sacred, in search of answers, before I went rogue!Now, I was always angry, I felt the urge to inflict pain on others every second of every day, and Avira just happened to be an unfortunate victim. [Beta Maverick]The trembling was abnormal, it felt nothing like it did when I shifted last night or the nights before it. I knew I was shifting abnormally again but why was there so much pain? Like the pain that usually accompanied shifting abnormally wasn't enough.My lips quivered uncontrollably, and my lower and upper teeth trembled violently, threatening to hit each other with an aggressive snap.There was a sudden crack as my bone shifted sharply, and I bit down the urge to scream. This was followed by more snaps from every single part of my body as my bones and entire body adjusted and took in a different shape. My skin was tearing and my bones snapping in the most painful way, for my wolf to emerge but unlike other times, I had no single control. [Avira]It took me longer than usual to complete cleaning out the rooms in the quarters. My heart was heavy, and so were my feet, and my entire body at large. I couldn't stop my thoughts from drifting back to the Alpha's crown which was sitting on the chair in one of Beta Maverick's room.While I cleaned, I thought of ways we could return the crown before Alpha Demian would noticed... What was I saying? Didn't the warriors mention the missing crown to the Beta? It only meant that Alpha Demian was aware of the missing crown which could only mean doom for the pack member who had taken it. In this case, Beta Maverick and me. I thought instead of ways to put the crown back with out being seen but it was pointless. It was daybreak already, and news of the missing crown had travelled round so that every member of the pack was aware, and on the lookout for anyone who could be in possession of the crown. [Avira]I stepped into the palace or throne room as it was mostly called with an air of indifference. As far as the Alpha's missing crown was concerned, I haven't seen it. In fact I know nothing about it.I located an empty spot in the corner reserved for the non- pack members and sat down. Alpha Demian was at his usual spot, although the arm of the chair on which he sat made it clear that it wasn't the throne. The discoloured chair was nothing like the well-oiled chair which served as the throne. I looked around for the ruined throne but there was nothing to see. There was not a single sign that something was missing, something as important as the pack's crown except for Alpha Demian's seething, and of course the chair he sat on. The fact that he wasn't wearing his crown did not give anything away since he did not always wear it. [Avira]The silence that followed Alpha Demian's declaration had more impact than a bomb blast. For a few minutes, all I heard was the tingling sensation in my ears as Alpha Demian's words refused to sink in, but echoed in my ears instead.But the warriors were already coming for me, with their clubs, and swords and arrows. The words sank in when they roughly pulled me from the chair, and dragged me to the podium with equal aggressiveness."Where is the crown?" Alpha Demian demanded in a voice that was so loud and angry that I flinched, but I regained my composure the next instant, and looked him in the eye, an action which even the Beta was forbidden to do.I was corrected with a strike across the face. [Avira]Kyle appeared on the podium through the back door, bearing the old Ashen cage. Although he carried it with ease, I could tell that it was heavier than he made it seem. Carefully, he placed the old looking cage on the floor in front of me, and motioned for me to get inside, and I did, trembling with fear.Alpha Demian began the ritual by chalking down a not too wide circle a little farther from me. Next, he brought out the sacred items from the wooden box, beginning with the ash coloured moon crystal, the wand, the silver candles, and the Lunar incantation scroll which contained the chants and incantations Alpha Demian would need for the ritual. [Dylan]I saw the shock register on Avira's face as the pack's Alpha made the declaration. I followed the movement of her head, as she shot Beta Maverick a confused look.
