KNOX'S POV I walked back into Alpha Knox's chamber, my heart heavy. The moment Doctor Isaiah got out of view, I paused, clinging firmly to the door knob and sighing out deeply. Isiah had thought my worries were centered around myself but he was so wrong to think that. Firstly, I wouldn't be asking the reason why I was scared of seeing a doctor. It was me, and of course I knew what was going on, just like Sable did. She knew what was going on, but had decided to keep me in the dark. He made mention of possible reasons. Could it be a terminal illness and she was trying so hard to keep it away from me? I shook my head in disagreement. That probably wasn't it. I didn't want to negatively, but I knew I had to give a logical explanation to what happened earlier today. Although she seemed fine earlier, except for being hungry. But I couldn't shake the thought off, that something was really wrong and that Sable was trying to hide it from me. I sighed out in exhaustion as I wondered how I c

KNOX'S POV I watched Alpha Bryn drift off to sleep after dropping the most heart wrecking statement to me. I knew he was drunk and I shouldn't take things he said to heart, but not this one. It seemed way too personal, like a phrase he'd repeatedly inwardly over and over again. “Seems like I'll have to let go of you Knox, you are becoming a big ass threat.” It was that simple, at the same time it weighed a whole lot. Alpha Bryn had began to see me as a threat, it was as simple as that. As a rival who he needed to do away with. When did that happen? I was way busy trying to get the park to the place it is right now, but somehow Bryn misunderstood all of my actions. Or maybe it all began to change the moment Sable stepped in, maybe he'd began to sense they was something going on between us, but knowing Bryn, he didn't care. He didn't care so much about Sable to think of me as a threat for getting closer to her. I knew I wouldn't pull back if eventually that happened to be the reason

KNOX'S POV It wasn't long before I saw Ysoria walk up the stairs. Ysoria, on the Beta's floor? I almost let out a loud laughter, but currently, I had none in my stomach. I'd assumed she would walk back with her doctor, but after a while of looking behind her and waiting for the weird old man to come forward, there was no sign of him. Well, that didn't change the fact she was up here to cause a ruckus because I didn't let her doctor attend to Sable. The last thing I wanted was her drama, her words, anything related to her actually. All I needed was a moment with Sable, one which I was being deprived off because the doctor needed me to walk away. I’d been pacing around ever since I walked out, not minding the wired look on the faces of every maid servant present. I couldn't bring my feet to stand still, not when I had no idea what was going on behind that door. Why wasn't a doctor? Why did I choose to be Beta and handle parks activities? I guess this was

SABLE'S POV “Look who's awake.” Ysoria mumbled, strolling into the room like she owns the space. I stared at her in confusion, first she didn't care if I died or lived, or maybe she did, but she would prefer if I died. And secondly, there was no way Ysoria would come check in on me, at least not so early in the morning. I stared back at Knox who shrugged his shoulders before pulling away, he looked as confused as I was and I could understand that. “Good morning Luna Sable.” The presumed doctor mumbled, dropping a brief case on the table right beside me. He had a polite smile on his face, an annoyingly polite smile. I hated that about doctors and at the same time, I wondered why they did that. Smile broadly while inflicting pain to their fellow human. I rolled my eyes off him, back to Knox who had his eyes squinted as he stared right at Ysoria. “And good morning Beta Knox.” He added. “How was your night?” He asked further. I looked to

ALPHA BRYN'S POVI hate lady Ysoria, my mother. I only just realized that. Or maybe I did, but i only just got the courage to spell it out loud. I guess she hated me as well, main reason why she wanted me dead.Crippled I meant. All the same, she loved the idea of hurting me and it clearly had graduated into physical, no longer emotional. I'd always loved her, always tried to understood her and I would as well forever remain grateful to her for saving me. But I would never understand why she acted the way she did sometimes, like now. She watched me in pain, the same pain she'd inflicted on me, but somehow she didn't care so much to stop by and see how I was doing. It was impossible to believe, why did she act that way. I wanted to give justifications to her actions, but clearly, this has none. Exactly why I said I hated her. It was the only emotions I could let out, although a part of me wouldn't stop asking if I really did,
