Sonya~When the headmaid came around again, I asked her about the letter which I had read and how she got it.“My lady, it's from Lady Bella. I saw her myself, and I took it this time.” I nodded and pointed at the table. “Open the drawer and take the envelope in it. However it will reach her, please do it.” I said calmly, and she walked to the table and got out the envelope. She looked at me, and then the envelope again. “My lady, can I ask if everything is okay?”I forced a smile and nodded. “Sure, everything is okay.”“Lady Bella is not loved in this palace. She had betrayed the alpha king in the past, choosing another alpha over him because he was a rogue alpha. Then when the other alpha dumped her, she started returning to Alpha Dax again, but he didn't give her a chance in his life. She started acting up since you came in here, as though she and Alpha Dax had always been on good terms, but that's just false.”She sounded pissed, as if she already knew what Bella was up to. I p

Neve~Before Seth left the pack with Kira, I was contemplating how to leave the palace and what kinda genuine excuse I would give Seth. I didn't want him to know my whereabouts or suspect me of anything. Then, luckily, he brought up leaving the pack with Kira for the kids' playground, and that had me breathing so well again after several hours.Once they left, I also dressed up and left. I boarded a cab to drive me to the address Irian had sent to me. The amount of the cab fare was outrageous, but I totally understood that it was because of the distance. I paid the driver off as we arrived, and then dialled Irian's number. “Around?” she said as she picked up the call.“Yeah! What other route should I take?”She hung up without even responding to me. I stared at the phone screen and let out an annoying hiss. “What kinda person is she? Always hanging up like it's nothing to her.” I snarled and was about to dial her number again. “Come here, bitch!”That was her voice…I looked aroun

Sonya~I had to step back to where Dax was and settle back into the sofa once again. Everything playing out was like a staged drama to me, and it could be because I never thought such happening even in my dreams. My arms were still crossed, and my gaze locked with Dax. “What is the meaning of this? Are you dreaming?”He shook his head, "I'm not, and I mean it, Sonya. Let's get married!”“You are mistaking me for your mate. I mean, how and when did you start thinking of that? Getting married when you know my mate, that I have a pup with him, and that I would never accept that, Dax?” I scoffed and shook my head pitifully. “You must be joking right now. There's no way this is real.”He stood from the ground and sat back on the sofa, trying to loosen my arms from my body, but I shifted away from him, refusing, and he didn't press on. Not like I still had a feeling for Seth. Even if I did, the last thing to think about was returning to him. I had and would never see myself getting marrie

Alpha Seth~“Alpha, Kira refuses to eat,” Miriam said to me, holding the tray of meals in her hand. “I thought maybe you could help out, and she would eat something.”For several days, Neve was nowhere to be found. I had my men search all through the pack and the neighbouring packs, yet there was no positive feedback. Her cellphones were all in her bedroom, so there was no way of reaching her. I pointed at the desk, “Keep it there. But can you bring her here? This place is a bit far from the palace building.”She bowed, “I will.”In a few minutes, Kira was brought into my office. She sat before me and the tray of meal between us, then the servant left. She shook her head as I picked up the spoon. “I want my mummy. I can't eat until she comes back.”I ignored her and grabbed a spoonful of the meal. “Mummy left without informing me, and I am trying my best to search for her. I have left behind finding Kaysen for you because of mum, so you have to eat to encourage me, okay?”For some t

Alpha Dax~I watched the mum and son leave, and I couldn't come to understand what I had just done. Was it just jealousy? Looking at it, she did nothing wrong, and that pup was damn scared; my voice got loud. This was the first time I raised my voice at Sonya, and I regretted it. What she did was to be applauded, taking that bold step irrespective of their past. Maybe if it was another alpha king that she wrote the letter to, I wouldn't have queried her. But Seth? That dude was bent on winning her back; I was seeing it through his actions, and Sonya must have noticed too. He was acting all good after those years of making her feel less of herself…and for someone like me who was already madly in love with Sonya, I didn't want her getting close to that dude. I had to take a cold bath after they left my room to try washing off the stupid anger which almost overwhelmed me.When it was time for dinner, we sat around the table as usual, digging into the plate. But we ate in silence, and t
