Chapter One: Introduction

April 18, 1992, night was quiet in the wilderness of Mizuki. Everybody couldn't wait to let the pack and other wild animals meet the first child of the Alpha, who would have a huge role in the future, to protect a human.

Choven was young and untrained, but he became the Alpha because of his extraordinary strength and brain.

He was 18 years old, when he met Azhea in the forest, he was wandering around and he saw Azhea and her friends, were having their one night camp, but then, there was another pack of cruel werewolves who despised the Alpha and separated from them and built their own pack. They were the ones who attacked the other girls. They ate them brutally and left no skin, and only Azhea got the chance to run away. The werewolves seem to enjoy their prey, the flesh of humans satisfied their devoured soul, without knowing that someone was left outside.

Azhea was outside at that time when the pack was plotting to attack her friends.  She was appreciating the dark and peaceful view of the creepy forest when she unexpectedly saw one of the werewolves was galloping so fast and didn't know where would it go. , she hid behind a tree, she got frightened the moment she saw it, her heart was beating too fast as she peeked where the wolf was going, she didn't know that it was actually a half-wolf and half-human or what we so-called werewolves. 

She got stunned when she saw it jump inside the tent until three of them followed after him.

She was trembling and covering her mouth tightly, crying quietly while she could hear all of her friends' screams and moans from the tent. They never imagined that there were werewolves in there.

She ran away before the pack could notice her but one of them heard her and hunted her, Azhea was sobbing and running away as fast as she could, panting and felt sorry for her friends who were eaten alive. She never turned her eyes back, never... but Kzhen was haunting her and he's too desperately to bite her into pieces, that he was even drooling a lot! And when Azhea felt someone was behind her, she couldn't stop all the fear that was flowing through her blood and flesh. The fear of death.

"No! Please! No!" she cried and kept running away, she didn't mind how many times she fell on the floor and how many wild plants scratched her body.

However, Choven was still watching them and about to ignore them because he didn't want to make trouble by saving the girl which could bring to a packs' war, between Kzhen' pack and his pack. Yet, he saw the fear of Azhea's eyes and ran after them, he was following them, yet careful not to be detected by any of them.

While he was running and kept staring at Azhea, he felt strange...

Azhea couldn't see her path because the moon that was lighting her path was already covered by a bunch of tall trees.

"Stepped back!" Azhea shouted after she fell on the ground and picked a branch of a tree. She was trying to frighten the werewolf that was staring at her, hoping it would work, maybe the werewolf would leave her.

"Hahaha," the werewolf laughed.

"Who is that?" Azhea said when she heard the laughter. She didn't know that the voice came from the wolf in front of her, she looked behind her, trying to find who it was, and when she glanced back to see the wolf, she couldn't drag her body out of the place and the branch of a tree fell from her hands.

She saw the wolf was slowly transforming into its human form.

"You're... You're a..."

"I'm a werewolf, is that what you are trying to say?" he asked! And finally, he evolved into his human form completely, he was about 6.5 feet tall, young yet has no mercy for human creatures.

He was grinning devilishly as he slowly walked closer to her.

"Is-is this tr...tue?!" 

Her tongue got twisted, she was trembling... and the werewolf named Kzhen laughed at her. He loved to see the fear on her eyes, the tears that were flowing through it was making him hectic to see her cries and pain when he would chew her up.

"You're a werewolf?!" she whispered in fear.

"Yes, it is, and prepare to die!" he screamed and fired on her as he turned back to his animal form.

"No!" shouted Azhea as she closed her eyes, but she felt odd when she didn't feel anyone bite or hit her. 

She opened her eyes and saw a wolf attacking him, it was Choven...  Blood was splashing everywhere, and Azhea saw how Choven killed Kzhen!

Choven stopped when he noticed that Kzhen was already dead. He was surprised, he didn't intend to kill him. Then he just calmed down when he heard the woman.

"Don't come near me," she said when he faced Azhea. He looked at her coldly, and Azhea got surprised when she watched him turned into a human as Kzhen.

"You are just like him?" she whispered, her voice was cracked.

Choven didn't say anything and stared at Kzhen's body beside him, he didn't want to kill him because he was still one of them.

Azhea ran while he was busy looking at Kzhen, she tried to escape but Choven was faster than her and pulled her hands.

"No, Please! Please!" she cried, and Choven covered her mouth and whispered to her ears, "Keep quiet before his friends hear you, they are coming! I'm trying to help you so keep your mouth shut, or else you want to be their food like what they did to your friends?"

Azhea didn't make a sound and Choven was still pulling her. She didn't know where they were going, but all she thought was she needed to survive! 

They walked too fast in the middle of the forest, making sure that the pack didn't saw nor followed them.
