The Leo may be waiting for you to apologize for their behavior, although it was predominantly negative. We Leos have a difficult time acknowledging humiliation. We would feel as though we are losing or bowing to the other person if we were to apologize first. Thus, we may hold our ground, waiting for the other person to “give in” and make amends to restore our royal dignity. This silence can continue until you give in and contact them to ensure that the silence has in fact ended. This unspoken game can continue until one party gives in and is the larger person. It is not easy to get out of this cycle unless the Leo gains some self-awareness.

The Canon for Wendy is 15. You don’t need to think too hard about that number in terms of storyline, because in many cases a character’s age is only a number to place them in a life stage. For Wendy, that life stage is “teenager with a summer job.” We use that to get some really great comedic and dramatic moments. Her attempts to be professional at the Mystery Shack are constantly foiled by supernatural events, her lazy friends, and Stan’s cheapness. However, despite all of the craziness surrounding her, Wendy is very reliable. Given her age, one would think that she is just trying to learn how to be responsible, but instead, she has more responsibility than most of the adult characters in the show. And this is a common theme in Gravity Falls: kids are more responsible than adults. Wendy is 15 years old, and fits this description well.

For someone who grew up with dubbed anime, it was noticeable to see how Sean Schemmel progressed as a voice actor from his early start of voice acting in the early 1990s. Of course, he wasn’t an overnight sensation, but instead did a lot of dubbed anime and video games while learning and honing his craft to eventually land roles in notable productions. It wasn’t until 1999 that he landed the iconic role of Goku for Funimation’s dub of Dragon Ball Z, making him a beloved figure among fans of the series. The fact that he continued to work as a voice actor in lesser roles and slowly progressed as a performer to reach his biggest break is very inspiring to me. The fact that we can see his growth in earlier roles makes his performances even better.

This is quite thought provoking. It’s changed my perception of “It’s Over, Isn’t It?”. That song now has even greater impact.

For kids’ movies, the tone is everything and so perilously fragile between awful and great. The guys wrote Fish School with the intention to never talk down to children and to make sure the darkness always serves the light. The movie opens on a devastatingly sad scene which serves as the whole basis for the rest of the story and then alternates between that and scenes that are terrifying, sad, funny and uplifting. That whole scene was sort of, we have to test this with these internal audiences to see, will kids find this too scary? Will adults find this poignant? And my take on it is that the real emotional bravery of this movie is its willingness to go to places that are dark and sit with feelings of loss, and anxiety and failure. And it wasn’t by accident, that took a lot of conscious choices to a Write. And I think what they did was to write it with the belief that kids can handle really complex emotions if they’re presented honestly with the hope that things are gonna be okay. It’s a pretty great developmental philosophy for writing children’s movies, too.

Boa Hancock has some great lines as well, often to reflect her confidence and her love for Luffy. The lines “Love is a hurricane” and “Be grateful… for being allowed to be in my presence” are two of the many lines that she repeats throughout the story. A character who embodies supreme confidence would be the protagonist of the story “I Was Reborn As The Most Powerful Princess In History?!”. She is aware of her own extreme strength and recognizes her place, providing for some good laughs and insight into the situation as her internal monologues highlight the absurdity between her views and everyone else’s views of her.

This video looks at the different ways that the members of BTS have learned English, with some preferring to learn from textbooks and literature like Namjoon, while others prefer to watch documentaries and listen to podcasts on subjects that interest them, such as Yoongi. There’s also learning phrases to use in social interaction, like Jin. Others, like Jungkook, probably pick up English from music and games that he plays. Taehyung is a movie man and tends to pick up English from random conversations with fans, while Jimin is probably a classroom kind of learner or picks up from his members. As for Hoge, he probably mixes it all up. Because their English really reflects their personalities, it’s really difficult to compare them to each other.

In every turtles adventure, Splinter’s home is wherever the turtles are. Even in ‘Rise of the TMNT’ Splinter turns their surface-level loft into their home. The location of their home changes but the theme stays the same: Splinter makes the most liminal of spaces into a sacred home.

Are we talking about the Popeye comic strip or cartoon? I don’t know that there are any real differences between them, but in the original comic strip by Segar, the main character is consistently called Popeye. The cartoons, which are far more well known, simplify a lot of the comic strip’s content and storyline, but the main character is always named Popeye. Offhand, I can’t recall a specific episode where he’s ever been referred to by any other name than Popeye in serious situations. Maybe a few instances as a joke or being called by an insulting name by Bluto. But that is about it. Ultimately, all versions of Popeye – cartoon, comic, movie – are all referred to as simple Popeye.

It’s funny. Peaches and Julian’s meeting was so against expectations for me. Instead of a romantic slow-march across a meadow, a curious molehog accidentally headbutted Peaches during a pirate battle. Julian is this very odd, cocky and awkward mixture of a character, and Peaches is a witty, sarcastic deadpan. So their chemistry is really unbalanced in terms of how they feel about each other and how hard he’s trying to get her to like him versus how barely she’s tolerating him until she doesn’t anymore. And the moment he puts himself in great peril to save her family is when you see her soften. Love isn’t about perfect. It’s about finding someone who is just as weird as you are.
