What is Love

What is Love

Maganda na ang sikat ng araw ngayong umaga ngunit mas gumanda pa iyon nang ngumiti siya nang dahil sa nabasa. "There are three things that last. Faith, Hope and Love but the greatest of these is Love."

When You Least Expect It

When You Least Expect It

Mom said as she drew Ola into a gentle hug. I walked over to the corner of the room where a little shelf was placed, I pulled out the big, black familiar book. It was my dad's most cherished belonging, his Bible. I opened to his favourite verse, walked over to my mom and handed it to her. 2 Corinthians 5:6-8: "So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord."

I don't know about anyone but i just love the conversations in this book. It's very realistic, and relatable, and the way the friendship between those four friends were portrayed was marvellous. I could see myself reading more and more of this book. Kudos Author.

This is really interesting! I love the portrayal of the MC as most young guys are portrayed as sexual creatures or narcissistic ones. And I love the relationship with his sister, it's so real and natural. Nice work!

The Boyfriend App

The Boyfriend App

To his delight, the topic of the priest’s sermon was 1 Corinthians 13, which was about love: | {Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud. Love is not rude, is not selfish, and does not get upset with others. Love does not count up wrongs that have been done. Love takes no pleasure in evil but rejoices over the truth. Love patiently accepts all things. It always trusts, always hopes, and always endures.} |

Forgive Me: Marked By The Priest

Forgive Me: Marked By The Priest

I took a breath, trying to calm the tremor in my hands. The choir finished their hymn, the congregation waited and then the pulpit light came on. It was time. I stepped forward, opened my Bible, and began. “Good morning, brothers and sisters.” My voice echoed softly. “Today’s teaching is from the book of First Corinthians, chapter six, verses eighteen to twenty.” I paused, letting the familiar sound of the pages turning settle the air. “‘Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually sins against their own body. Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you… You are not your own.’”

As he looks at their two beautiful children, "I couldn't imagine yet what lies ahead, honey." The Long-lasting Tree

"Chapter seven, from verse thirteen to fifteen." She located the verse and then read out, "1 Corinthians 7:13-15 says: And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace. For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? Or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?" "The verses are clear and s

This book is highly educative. For someone like me who studies cross-cultural communication, I find it quite important. I'm learning a lot concerning the culture of the Luo tribe of Kenya and how they responded to the western culture, religious conflict and quite a lot to do with relationship. ?

A book to pick from the shelf. Felt i was reliving times here, those wonderful moments in the history of a people. The Blue-eyed's intention with the bell and the tree's inexplicable powers are itchy... felt like I just wanted to know it all. This is a five-star novel, can't hesitate to say. ???

"You are the poem I've always wanted to write, and this life is the story I've always wanted to tell." "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. The Art of Life and Love: The First Spark

The Art of Life and Love: The First Spark

"I got this when I was fourteen with my mom, 'cause I got straight A's that year. The law in Pennsylvania has changed since, but at the time, one could get a tattoo at fourteen, so long as a parent consents and is present. She got one at the same time on her shoulder. Hers says 2nd Corinthians 5:17. "Damn, that's pretty sweet man! So what do the verses say?" "Well, Romans 3:23 says: 'For all have sinned, and fallen short of the glory of God.' While 2nd Corinthians 5:17 says: 'This means that anyone that belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life has gone; the new life has come.' "That's right. You did say you were raised in a Christian family. That's pretty cool, dude. You and y

Hope of the Dying World

Hope of the Dying World

Timotheus snatched the Bible from Ferran’s hand and opened it as if he was so familiar with the book. “John 3:16… John 3:16…” Timotheus opened the Bible and saw the highlighted verse. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” He read. “What about the numbers 17, 18, 19, 20, 21?” Czaquira asked. “Maybe the words?” Timotheus was confused for a while.

Frequently Asked Questions

Understanding '1 Corintios 3:16-17' really struck me as a profound reminder of the importance of community and our individual roles within it. This passage emphasizes that we are temples of God, and the Spirit of God dwells within us. Like many people, I've found solace in the idea that we are not just solitary beings but part of something greater, a divine construct. It makes me think about how our actions resonate not just within our lives but throughout our communities. If we take care of this 'temple'—not just physically but spiritually and emotionally—we foster an environment of love, understanding, and strength.

When I read it, I'm reminded of countless anime where protagonists band together to overcome challenges, unity enhances their strength. Take 'My Hero Academia', for instance. The characters grow both individually and collectively. In their journey, they symbolize the nurturing of our inner 'temple' as they face adversity. It’s around this shared growth and respect that the series flourishes, and it feels similar to what Paul is expressing in this passage. The call to avoid conflict and encourage harmony is just as impactful in our day-to-day lives.

Then, there’s the warning against destroying the temple. It’s quite a serious note. I can’t help but reflect on how toxic behavior and negativity within communities can lead to destruction. Whether it’s in online forums or everyday interactions, being mindful of our words and actions matters. We are vessels of light, and uplifting each other resonates deeply with this scripture. It provides a holistic view of how to approach life with care and reverence, not just for oneself but for all.

Every time I read that verse, it urges me to be a better person in my personal relationships, my interactions online, and even in the way I approach conflicts. Just like those characters in our favorite stories, together we build something beautiful, nurturing our souls and those around us.
