RUN AWAY LOVE

RUN AWAY LOVE

As he looks at their two beautiful children, "I couldn't imagine yet what lies ahead, honey." Rhoda suggests, "Let us first go to our mother church and settle the schedules as well as plan ahead for our purposes." Rudolf adds, "I have engrossed what 1Corinthians 1 to 6 says about our body as a temple of the Holy Spirit and how to deal with others, Honey."

Choosing paths

Choosing paths

Hear me and hear my voice, for flesh will remain flesh and for the heart will know where to follow, trust in the Lord and he will guide you 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. Until you're washed, until you're cleansed, until you accept Jesus as your one and on

When You Least Expect It

When You Least Expect It

Mom said as she drew Ola into a gentle hug. I walked over to the corner of the room where a little shelf was placed, I pulled out the big, black familiar book. It was my dad's most cherished belonging, his Bible. I opened to his favourite verse, walked over to my mom and handed it to her. 2 Corinthians 5:6-8: "So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord."

I don't know about anyone but i just love the conversations in this book. It's very realistic, and relatable, and the way the friendship between those four friends were portrayed was marvellous. I could see myself reading more and more of this book. Kudos Author.

This is really interesting! I love the portrayal of the MC as most young guys are portrayed as sexual creatures or narcissistic ones. And I love the relationship with his sister, it's so real and natural. Nice work!

TILL I MET HIM

TILL I MET HIM

"You are the poem I've always wanted to write, and this life is the story I've always wanted to tell." "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."—1 Corinthians 3: 4-8 "As soon as I saw you, I knew a grand adventure was about to begin."

You Deceived Me

You Deceived Me

I didn’t have a scripture in mind, so I just opened a scripture and looked to read. “Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body 1 Corinthians 6:18” I quickly snapped the bible shut. I got down on my knees with my elbows on the bed and I brought my hands together. “Father, forgive me, for I have sinned again.” I pressed my eyes shut tight. My heart was beating fast.

A god Named Sin

A god Named Sin

The next morning she had woken up happy and energetic and not cranky, before her aunt came downstairs, Amari had done the dishes and cleaned the house, she was in the kitchen cooking when her aunt entered. "Amar, are you okay?" Aunt Marie asked her looking perplexed. "Yes I'm fine." She answered. Aunt Marie gave her a suspicious look, went to where she was standing and inspected her face and body. She laughed and hugged the lady, "I think God has answered your prayers." "How would you know?" Aunt Marie raised a brow at her. "Because I went online to check for a turning a new life verse and I read in 1st Corinthians 5vs17, what does it say again?" Amari asked scrunching her face and reaching

A Tale Between S and W: Not your usual giddy love story

A Tale Between S and W: Not your usual giddy love story

1 Peter 1:13 Complete the race that God has set before us. II Timothy 4:6-8 People of God, give Him glory. Isaiah 42:12 Let us abound in Faith, Love, and Hope. 1 Thessalonians 1:3 ALL. Lies. The Bible fed us with opium. We became high with it. I should have made an effort to save my family, said some suggestions. I have enough strength. Maybe we should have made an underground passage for me and my family to use for escaping the authorities?

Maid to be his Wife

Maid to be his Wife

said the pastor. After a while, the reading started, "reading from the Apostle Paul, The first letter to the Corinthians, Chapter 13, verses 4 through 7: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Father, as [Red and Chelsea] pledge themselves to each other, help them and bless them that their love may be pure, and their vows may be true. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen."

Hope of the Dying World

Hope of the Dying World

Timotheus was confused for a while. “Or the letters since the numbers were in successive form.” Xol suggested. “Let's settle with the letters,” Ferran decided. “1… 2… 3…” Blair counted and they ended up with a certain word. “...world.” Czaquira immediately wrote the word beside the codes. “Rom… Rom… Romans 12:12!” Timotheus quickly found verse and counted again. “Hope,” She said. “Second Corinthians?” Ferran asked while looking at the last one they needed to decipher.

The context of Romans 12:9 in the Bible is quite dynamic and thought-provoking, especially when you consider the entire chapter. This verse reads, 'Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.' It’s part of Paul’s broader instructions to the Romans, encouraging them to live out their faith authentically within the Christian community and the world around them. He’s calling for a love that is genuine, which means being deeply committed to the welfare of others without any pretense. This love is about rejecting hypocrisy, a common thread in Paul's letters.

If we look around at today's struggles, it resonates so well. In an era where social media often fosters facade rather than authenticity, Paul's words are like a guiding star. The love he describes is active; it’s pushing us to not only care for others but also draw clear boundaries around what we stand against. The 'hate what is evil' part challenges believers to develop a discernment that goes beyond just an emotional response. It’s about making conscious choices to stand firm against injustice or immorality in whatever forms they take, be it in our personal lives or societal structures.

Moreover, ‘cling to what is good’ feels like an encouragement to nurture relationships and communities that embody love and integrity. It shows that living out this love isn't a passive act; it requires commitment and effort. To me, this verse encourages an active engagement with both our internal moral compass and the broader community. We’re called to not just proclaim love but to embody it in our actions, making choices that reflect its true nature. It’s a reminder that our faith should produce tangible outcomes in how we relate to others.

Considering this in our fast-paced, often selfish world, I find it refreshing and challenging all at once. It invites us to examine our hearts while also extending grace and truth in our relationships, both in personal life and the wider community. It makes me ponder: how can I more authentically love others without falling into the trap of hypocrisy? What would sincere love look like in difficult situations? Such reflections keep the spirit of what Paul intended alive, urging us towards authenticity in our bonds with God and each other.
