Dessert in Bed. Freya’s eyes fluttered open, sensing the sun’s rays hitting her face. The light seeping through her bedroom curtains was bright, suggesting it was around mid-morning. Last night, they had gone up to Freya’s penthouse at midnight. They were too tired, so they bathed and went straight to bed. But now, it was a different story. Freya thought they both deserved a reward. Kenneth was still asleep, slightly. He was mildly aware of her movements, his arm still wrapped around her.

I reached for the throw blanket. “You really think I wouldn’t notice someone lifting me?” came her voice, low and groggy. I jumped a little. Freya cracked one eye open. “I’ve been in a mafia house for more than forty-eight hours. My senses are heightened.” I stared. She yawned, then stretched like a sleepy cat. “Also, you’re not that subtle.” I blinked, then grinned. “Noted.” There was a pause. Then she sat up suddenly. “I want chicken.”

Pitch dark inside was punctuated by spiraling neon spotlights, flickering strobe lights, and the black-lit haze of scantily clad bodies undulating on a tightly packed dance floor. Nina sauntered in first, leading the way. She reached up and touched the bouncer’s chest with her fingertips and dragged them along his pecs as she passed by. He grinned like an idiot, adjusted his pants, and as she looked back and winked at him, snapped his teeth at her playfully. Kayden grasped Nina’s hand when she reached back for him. The Gammas followed. The door swung shut behind them, and they were swallowed whole by the wild world of Freak Night at Bad Wolf.

However, my plans changed after seeing the calmness of the pool. We had a wild night filled with lots of food and loud music. Jade and Reid engaged in a drinking challenge, and after two hours they'd passed out on the couch. A hearty laughter reverberated in my throat at the memory of their escapade. “Having some alone time?” Rowan's velvety voice sent a splash of tingles across my skin. Just like me, he was half naked, having just a short on and nothing else. I gaped at the smoothness of his chest, my gaze straying to the little curls of black hair that stretched from his navel and disappeared into his shorts.

Inside lay a uniform. Not like the plain one she wore earlier. This one was darker. Shorter. The fabric was silk, edged with lace so thin it could hardly be called modest. It was cut tight across the chest, tighter still at the hips. Stockings, sheer as glass, lay folded beside it. A pair of black heels added height she did not want. And tucked into the corner, a note. Wear this for evening service. I want to see how well you follow orders. Heat rushed to her cheeks. Evening service? Did he mean dinner? Or… something else?

Freddy's POV At 9 o'clock in the evening, after I take a bath, I wear a black silk robe and walk around in the room. Sitting in a wheelchair all day, I can finally walk comfortably at this moment. These seemingly less powerful legs seem to be full of strength. When I was taking the bath, I had been thinking about a question. I frown, turn on my phone and dial Roy. "Roy, check if there is a concert or opera tomorrow afternoon or tomorrow evening, or something like that..." Roy says. "Yes, alpha. Which star's concert, which theater's opera do you want to watch?"

The moment his eyes start to flutter slightly, she cries again in relief. “What happened?” I question, towards Jax, as Freddie obviously is still too out of it. “When we arrived, everything was already over. But your entire place has been turned upside down again. Everything is smashed to pieces. I have no idea what Freddie ran into, but it’s obvious he caught them red-handed and probably chased the attackers away. My guess is that he tried to stop them from following you because the place didn’t just have his blood there. From the smell, we think it must have been different species in there. A group of at least five different beings. I’m just so relieved you didn’t walk into that place,” Ja

“I’m going to step into the bathroom to put on something sexy and take care of protection. You just get naked and in bed.” As soon as she closed the door, Freddie jumped out of his pants, peeled his sticky boxers off, and threw them against the wall where they stuck. He sat in the bed and tried to relax. Baseball, I’ve got to think baseball. Singles, doubles, triples, homers. I’m going to score a grand slam! The door opened and she stepped out wearing nothing but a smile. “Is this too much clothing or just enough?”

“You were there, bidding on a little girl! You sick sack of shit!” He paled. “What’s going on here, Frederick?” Malo demanded. Frederick turned to run, but Zane was on him in a minute, his hands on his shoulders to turn him back around. “Kneel,” Zane said in that tone I now recognized as his Alpha Voice. “What were you doing at the Rotary Club?” “I, I was there to bid on a blond human girl I’d been sent photos of,” Frederick said, the words dragging themselves out of his lungs. “I bid on her and won her, and I was, I was having sex with her when the police raided the joint.”

I took it by calling the number immediately, it rang a few times before he picked it up. “Brandon on the line.” His husky voice came in. I breathed in my nervous self before speaking up. “Freya.” “I'm the lady that night at the club three weeks ago, can we please meet up.” I rushed my words, I could hear him laugh a bit at the way I placed my conversation. “Okay, meet me up at Star restaurant by 5pm.” The call was dropped after he said that. When I checked the time, I saw it was already 4:30PM and I had just a little time to get ready and go to meet him.
