The Alpha’s Forsaken Luna
I slowed down without meaning to.
"Hazel?" Blaine's voice, careful. "You okay?"
"I don't know," I admitted, staring at the performer without really seeing him. "This song. It's doing something to me. I don't remember it but I feel like I have heard it somewhere before my amnesia.”
"You don't know it," Blaine said, though something flickered across his face, gone too fast to name.
"I know although…" I said. "It feels like I should."
We stood there a moment longer, the performer's voice rising and falling with the melody, something raw and unpolished about it that struck deeper than skill ever could have. My eyes stung unexpectedly, tears rising for no reason I could explain.
