A Book That Features Dragons Novels & Stories

She slumped with the impact. She was losing consciousness as the gun was being pulled out of her hands. Someone snorted. “We hit the jackpot. The bitch is here in a sexy avatar. Let’s show her where she belongs.” Men guffawed. No… no… no… this can’t be! Please don’t let me faint God! Not now, please… she fell into darkness and oblivion. The air grew thick with the sound of turning pages and the scent of dust they were disturbing for the first time in decades. Nate’s mind reeled as he read. The books spoke of creatures he’d only ever seen in movies. There were bestiaries detailing dragons, their scales described with metallic precision. He found genealogical charts for vampiric bloodlines and treaties on fae territories. It was a hidden history of the world, all contained in this impossible room, and he could barely believe any of it was real. The books themselves were artifacts, some dating back hundreds of years, their pages brittle and their ink faded. “So… dragons? Vampires? They’re real?” Nate breathed, his voice hushed

She was staring at the eyes of a dragon, and she was immobile. She got up and went into the bathroom. She switched on the light and stared at herself in the mirror. Her eyes grew wide unconsciously as she saw a dragon with red sclera and the pupils were cat-like and green. Then she saw something like a crest, with a dragon showing its side view, a castle on a mountain and a bloody battle.

Please note that the events of this chapter took place in book 2. --------------------------------------------- LOCATION: The Supernatural Realm AREA: Ignere Forest The shake of the earth, and the pungent smell of burnt grass after the residue of magic, was a clear sign the dragon kind was far from extinct. The King of Dragons stood at the edge of the large plain laid out before him. The field lay barren and wasted as the last patch of dead brown grass was scorched out of existence. Across this field were twelve large pits and in each of these pits were two dragons battling it out with fire, ash, magic, and the will of a warrior.

I spent hours studying the text. I learned about Alice's Dragon, referred to in ancient languages as the 'Rare Healer of Fire.' This unique dragon was gifted with ancient magic. If the Rare Healer of Fire mated with another dragon, they would be reborn as humans but retain the ability to use dragon magic without their dragon forms.

A temporary hiding place before we inevitably end up where we always do contemporary and queer romance. Our natural habitat. I pick up a book with a massive dragon painted across the cover and slowly rotate it in my hands. Fantasy covers go hard. The artwork is ridiculous in the best way. Every scale on the dragon has been illustrated with obsessive detail. Blue melting into green, green into purple, purple streaked with gold. The colors swirl like magic itself spilled across the page. It’s so beautiful it almost hurts to look at. My lips wobble slightly. “I like him so much,” I whisper.

"Well, about that, huh? You'll get to know about me after spending our time together. So what else do you know about dragons?" "Hm, let me think about it," she chewed her lollipop again, closing her eyes. “In Europe, they have wings and can breathe fire, but their existence is always being hunted down and made trophies by humans. Likewise in Persia and Egypt. Then in Tanakh, in the book of Leviticus, they mentioned a dragon named Leviticus that was finally killed by God at the creation of the earth." "Well, almost all you knew was right," Karl nodded slowly. "And what else?"

From the records on Avalor's Kingdom to the ancient legends of the land. "The legend of the Dulein Fairy magic Kingdom," she read on the covers, "The first ancient alliance, The Hidden Magic..." The books passed her fingers till she reached one large red book with golden letters in the front. "The Journey of the Ancient Dragon." The first page was a detailed map of the land of Cretia, the world they inhabited. Filled with three main races, dragons, witches, and fairies.

This book says the same thing that Cayd read before, except instead of Falknor, it says Feilong. “What is Feilong?” I ask. “Another dragon clan,” Buppig says, distractedly as he looks over Lily’s shoulder. “And Ddraig?” Lily asks, looking at Buppig. He looks at the book, then Lily, then me and Cayd. “These are the four dragon clans, two for men, two for women. All of them say the same thing,” he says, his eyes going wide. He looks on our table until he finds the Book of Prophecies and he opens it to the first prophecy about me.

Infinite yet indefinable, it sought to bring some order to the chaos of its being. For reasons no mortal can comprehend, utilizing the substance and energy of the cosmos itself, life was brought into the universe in the form of Dragons. Formed from the essence of the stars, and the primordial matter and energy that is at the heart of all life. Giant beings, there were only two in this beginning of time. As the essence of existence has two components, opposite yet complementary to one another, so were the Dragons made male and female, in order to maintain the balance that holds the fabric of reality together. Equal and opposite, yet incomplete without the other.
