One Night Stand series

One Night Stand series

Rage at the family she had been thrust into, rage at the chains she hadn’t seen tightening until now. That night, Leah did not return to her chamber. Instead, she slipped quietly through the halls, her footsteps muffled against the carpet. She had no clear plan, only an instinct that screamed at her…. watch, listen, survive. The mansion changed after dark. Corridors stretched longer, shadows deepened, and whispers grew louder behind closed doors. Leah passed the study where Nathan’s father often worked. The door was ajar, lamplight spilling out. She pressed herself against the wall, her heart thundering.

A fate unplanned

A fate unplanned

Even though I tried to tell myself that there was a reason, I just couldn't bring myself to give him any sort of excuse. For now, I'm just glad that Raven didn't hit me. The pain that came with having ones heart pulled out wasn't a nice one at all. Dropping the book in my hand, I took off the bedcover that was soaked with blood and immediately went ahead to wash it. My dad always says that the smell of my blood makes him want to kill me. I can't risk him coming home to the smell of my blood. When I got to the rooftop to spread my covers, I saw Raven smoking. I wanted to turn back and leave but of course, her sharp senses had already detected me.

Craved (Book #10 in the Vampire Journals)

Craved (Book #10 in the Vampire Journals)

And find out if there was any way to fix it. As she drove, Caitlin thought again of the rare books she had found in her library. Most of all, she that of that one rare volume, and its torn page. She thought of its ancient ceremony, the one in Latin, with its cure for vampirism. She wondered again if it was real. Was that just passed down from folklore? An old wives’ tale?

Loved (Book #2 in the Vampire Journals)

Loved (Book #2 in the Vampire Journals)

Quite fun. He remained sound asleep, as she was so lithe, so limber on her feet. Like a cat. She could prance through the entire house and he would never hear a thing, unless she wanted him to. One of the many advantages of being a vampire. He had been so gullible: he had really believed that this house was hers. She’d worried how she would explain the fact that there were no blankets or sheets or pillows—or anything in the house— but to her surprise, he didn’t even ask. And the place has been at least partially furnished. Probably all the doings of some desperate broker, staging the house for his hypothetical showings. At least she had put it all to good use.

THE WEREWOLF AND THE VAMPIRE KING

THE WEREWOLF AND THE VAMPIRE KING

Like he said there was nothing in the book about this so I guess we will just find out what happens ourselves. I finish eating and decide to go and check on Seraphina, I walk into the bedroom to surprisingly find she is already awake. She is huddled up as far as she can against the headboard with her wrists tied and connected to that headboard, she is sobbing quietly. She has blood running from both sides of her neck and also one of her breasts, from the claim marks we didn't seal and Leo's last bite into the vamps mark.

Light & Darkness: Book 4

Light & Darkness: Book 4

And this is how the last story about Light and Darkness that I wanted to present to you ends. It was certainly an extraordinary journey, showing different stories, but at the same time touching the same topic - can two such opposing poles as Light and Darkness connect at some point? I'll leave it to your own choice, but one thing is for sure - as Miyuki said in Book 4, wanting to stop the battle between vampires and wizards - Light and Darkness certainly couldn't exist without each other. If there was only Light but no Darkness, what would be its meaning? Likewise, if there was only Darkness in the world, wouldn't its existence be pointless without trying to "devour" the Light?

The Vampire's Bride (The Dark Council Series Book 1)

The Vampire's Bride (The Dark Council Series Book 1)

Alina My eyes were burning. That was the first thought I woke up to. The second, however, was to realize that my eyes weren’t really burning. I opened my eyes a bit, only to shut them immediately. It was under the scrutiny of the direct sunlight coming in through the huge floor-length windows on the wall opposite to the bed. The third thing that crossed my mind was, I don’t have gigantic windows in my bedroom! Oww! I jumped up in bed, looking around the unfamiliar room to search for the source of the voice I just heard. However, all I got was a room devoid of any other humans or vampires for that matter.

Vampire Queen (Book 2 Vampire Witch Trilogy)

Vampire Queen (Book 2 Vampire Witch Trilogy)

As hard as I tried, I couldn’t decipher what it might be. One of the primary differences I noticed between my life in Geo’s kingdom and that of my new realm was the hours they kept. Where Verso tended to imitate the timeline of humans, Vampire Land was, for the most part, nocturnal. Luthias prepared me for this in advance, so when the early dawn peeked over the horizon and the members of court made polite exits to their living quarters, it came as no surprise.

Alpha's One Night Bride

Alpha's One Night Bride

He nodded slowly and before he could say anything more, the bedroom door swung open. Erick and Jess stood at the doorway; they were both breathless, so we knew they were running. Jess held one of the thickest books I had ever seen; it was a large brown book with golden decals swirled throughout the cover. In the front of the book, in a silvery oval was a white infinity symbol I didn’t quite recognize and then written in white above the symbol read: Book of Magic. “Woah…” I breathed, staring at the book. It was real.

One Night Bodyguard | One Night Series, Book One

One Night Bodyguard | One Night Series, Book One

The sound of his Italian shoes and her stiletto heels echoed in the air as they kept running under the amber glow shining through few lamps on the cobalt stone streets to alleys hiding behind the broken walls when they felt the gangsters were close. Rania couldn’t believe the sudden twist fate had taken when everything was perfectly falling into its place. The thoughts of worst scenarios rushed in her mind bringing her to a halt. She pulled her hand from his grip trying to calm her mind because all of a sudden, she felt suffocated;
