Kiara’s POV It took a few tries to peel myself out of her grasp. She chuckled, as if my desperate attempts to get her off me were something cute. “What’s the matter, sweetheart?” She said and I backed away from her. A frown furrowed my brows as I noticed how eerily silent and almost deserted the kitchen now was. I left her standing there and smiling at me quite creepily. I couldn’t believe that had happened. Vampires had no concept of personal space or any sort of propriety at all. She probably just wanted to stick her fangs in me. They were all so damn weird and annoying.

“I can’t wait to play with them!” Troye gave her the box, and the little girl ran back to where her brother was. “I also have something for you, Kaydee.” Troye sat beside the little boy and put the box before him. “What is this, Uncle? You don’t really have to buy me toys,” Kaydee seemed curious about the toy, but unlike his sister, he was shy. “Those are called hot wheels, I believe?” Troye chuckled. “Thank you…” Kaydee timidly took the box and opened it.

Let's go" He ordered and I stood up. "When we come face to face with people, I expect you to compose yourself. Your name is Lauren Dennis, you're a software engineer from a prestigious yet unknown family and you schooled in Hamilton University. You lived a sheltered life. I then turned back around and headed for my room. After having a quick shower, I change into a T-shirt and basketball shorts. I take a seat at my desk and load up my laptop. With Savannah’s comment still fresh in my mind after I picked her up from the airport, I load up the upcoming freshman year class chatroom. I’ve made an account and set up my profile. Oddly, they don’t allow pictures only avatars. What year are we in the early 2000s?

The question was innocent. Simple. The Space Between stood perfectly still. No one had ever asked it that. Not in all the ages it had wandered between worlds. "I..." Its answer caught in its throat. "I do not know." The little girl frowned thoughtfully. "My knee hurts when I fall." She touched her chest. "My heart hurts when my friends are sad." She smiled. "Maybe your heart hurts." The plaza became so quiet that the rustling leaves sounded like thunder. The Space Between looked down at its own chest.

He was standing near the window with his coat still on, looking at the bracket board like he was calculating. He greeted them both and then looked at Noah. “How are you feeling?” he asked. “Prepared”, Noah responded. Viktor nodded once. “Good. You're a big boy” They found their spots along the wall. Lena, in Arianna's arms, looked at the room. She was fourteen months old now and had opinions about most things, communicated through a combination of pointing and an expressive range of sounds that did not yet constitute words but conveyed meaning efficiently. She pointed at the bracket board.

I took out my phone and scrolled to the one photo in the album where Mom was actually smiling. Finally, the boarding call came. Outside the window, Northbridge shrank smaller and smaller behind the plane. I leaned against the glass and closed my eyes. Mom's voice drifted up in my memory, as clear as if she were beside me. 'Ted, sweetheart. Life's like riding a train. Some people get on, some people get off. Don't let it weigh on you too much.' She was right. Mom had gotten off first. Chloe had reached her stop, too. Now, it was my turn to move on to whatever platform came next.

Matthew frowns in curiosity and I shake my head. “It’s basically till the baby heals completely. It explains why he is still in a wheelchair. I haven’t been having enough rest lately, because same maniac is after my life” I raise my voice and a bitter laugh escapes his mouth. “You know the whole world would be a better place if there were not people like you just occupying space” He mutters and I roll my eyes. “Mr Matthew, don’t you think you need to put that little puppy on a leash?” I cross my arms and Matthew runs his hand through his hair.

"Come on, Liam, spill the beans." Liam hesitated for a moment, contemplating whether to share the full extent of his abilities. Finally, he took a deep breath. He started to play with his finger, and this was seen by Brandon and Jarvis. They both know Liam's habit, but they did not say anything about it. "Alright, here it is." He leaned back. "I have a space dimension. It's a place I can access, a sort of sanctuary. But it's not just a hiding spot; it's different from our reality. Time flows differently there, and it's... well, it's hard to explain."

Xi Lan says as he showed the little apartment to sunny. Sunny was so amazed by the so-called little apartment! "how can they call this a little apartment?! The word little doesn't show in this house! it was so huge that she thinks it's even bigger than the six rooms in the orphanage!" she said in her mind! it was the very first time she had seen a room as huge as this! it has everything she needed too! from the food to clothes, and shoes! "Uhm.. this..." sunny could not bring herself to say what she wants!
