“I’ve worked for you long enough to read the pauses.” Naomi smirked. “Maybe you should be the one making the closing arguments.” Sandra tilted her head with a knowing grin. “Isn’t that what you’re already doing? Piece by piece… Secrets Unfold, right?” Naomi blinked. “You remember the name?” “Hard to forget when it’s what you’re living.” Naomi picked up a glass and stared into it like it held some kind of answer. Secrets Unfold. Yes. That’s exactly what today felt like. A day where hidden feelings peeked through smiles, where silence told louder truths than words.

He slides it over to me. I want to look I want to know, but I’m I ready for the dark secrets that stain his soul. With trembling hands I flip it open. Numbers and names, a list, I pick it up and that’s when the darkness swallows me. I clasp my mouth shut as photos scatter onto the desk. Photos of people, dead people. Photos of women being held hostage. I gasp for air as some of the names are crossed out with a red pen. “What is this?” I ask, fearing the answer. “Keep looking, all the answers is in there.” His voice a whisper of horror. "Don't play dumb. It's just me and you, you can drop the stupid act." June blinked twice, her lips parted as she tried to process what she just said, "I- I don't understand." Mrs. Scott's words left June bewildered, unsure of how to respond. She couldn't fathom why Mrs. Scott was accusing her of playing a trick, was she testing her, or worse she didn't like her?

My hands started shivering as I looked around. There was something going on in here, something I had no idea about; something cruel, something bad. “Aaaaaaaaaaaa!
