A Piece Of Strange Novels & Stories

The air is filled with a discord of laughter, shouts, and the distant roar of the ocean waves crashing against the shore. As we weave through the crowd, something strange catches my eye. Scattered across the sand are peculiar shapes that seem out of place. My first thought is that they are discarded food items from the party, but as I look closer, I realize they are unlike any food I’ve ever seen. These objects are sprouting what looks like hair and dozens of tiny legs, and they skitter across the sand in various directions, moving with a creepy, almost purposeful energy.

“Gee whizz! Come on Scooby Doo. Try harder.” I felt punching on my right shoulder. I glanced over and noticed a strange looking foot. Gray and scaly with only four spiky looking toes. “Ahh! What is this thing?” I screamed in frustration. I bent over, grasping the mysterious creature with both hands. I placed one foot on whatever body part that I could manage and with both my hands and foot I was able to wrench the thing off me.

"This can not be..." "What's happening?" ' the stranger next to me asked, getting up as well. I stumbled, he grabbed my arm. "Hey, are you okay?" "In my glass…" I said in horror. "...there is blood." The strange man looked at him strangely. "No, I think you're one of those who get high with a single glass," he said in a mocking voice. He added in a serious voice. If this man right here got killed after I left, my underwear would be one of the reason I would be a prime suspect. Fucking a stranger and losing an underwear. Damn it.

Suddenly, the air in the garden seems to bend and shimmer, like heat waves rising from an asphalt surface on a hot day. These aren’t heat waves though. For one thing, the temperature is very pleasant—mid-sixties, I’d guess—and more importantly, the lines are horizontal, not vertical. A barely audible high-pitched whine accompanies the disturbance in the air. The whine and the strange bending of the air are the only signs anyone other than Radar gets that an Anomaly is unfolding. If you’re unfortunate enough to be caught in it, it’s too late. No one is quite sure what happens to people trapped in an Anomaly, but we do know they’re never seen again.

He rolled his eyes opening the frame, she pushed the picture to the side struggling to get to open. Zander gripped the frail frame and helped pull out the door for us all to go inside.

I opened the room door which had a big sticker of twenty-nine pasted on it and to my greatest surprise, I saw a guy lying on his stomach, watching a movie or so. It dawned on me that he watching porn when I heard the weird sounds coming from his laptop. He hadn't noticed my presence since he was very engrossed, so I quietly stepped out of the room and let out a big sigh of frustration. So this was my new roommate? Great! Just what I needed!
