A voice drifted through the shadows. “Didn’t think we’d get this lucky.” Two men stepped into the light. Their scent hit first …feral , half-shifted. Rogues. But someone else was with them. Someone not like them. A figure leaned against the far wall, hood up, face shadowed. But Silas knew the posture. Calm. Watching. Calculating. Then the figure spoke. “Don’t worry. You won’t die yet.” The voice sent a chill down Silas’s spine.

The air smelled faintly of earth and flowers, masking the sharp tang of unease. Gabriel stopped, scanning the darkness. "We’re here." The wind rustled the leaves, carrying the faintest whisper of movement. Then, from the shadows, a figure stepped forward the same hooded silhouette from the cameras. They moved with deliberate calm, as though the night itself bent around them. When they spoke, their voice was muffled but clear, dripping with quiet confidence. "You came." Gabriel’s reply was cold, lethal. "Step closer, and you’ll regret it."

“Don’t make me stop.” “I wouldn’t dare.” We walked to the edge of the clearing together. The forest beyond felt different now. Less ordered. More honest. A figure waited between the trees. Tall. Still. Wrapped in pale grey. Not the Speaker. Not the Architect. Someone new. Or something old, wearing a new shape. Kairos stiffened. “You feel that?” “Yes.” The figure stepped forward, hands empty, posture open. “I will not bind,” they said. Their voice was calm, layered, like many tones speaking together. “I will not command.”

"Your finger." He took a step to the side. "Stretch your arms apart." He asked her and she obeyed immediately. The wind gently blew her hair off her face, she felt it between her fingers. "What is that?" He whispered now close to her ear, so that a pleasant shiver ran over her entire body. "The wind." "Do you see the wind?" She shook her head and looked at him. "You don't see the wind, but you can feel it, it's there." She nodded and he continued. "And so I feel that Jesus is always with me."

A few minutes later they all stopped when they heard a familiar song. "Watch me as I kill you, watch me as I kill you slowly, I am Czatheign and I'm at your back ~" Even their leader stiffened on the stand as he listened to the angelic voice but demonic lyrics of the song. After that the surroundings became quiet again, but the silence did not last long. They did not realize that the woman was behind them now. Now the aura it possesses is more frightening, the eyes are fiercer and the walk is heavier.

“They are useless, can only stain this highly place-” “I said shut up!” As loud as it could be, my voice reach the deepest of earth, the highest of heaven, and even...the barren land. I can felt it, the silence...prevail. “W-what...” Everything's freeze, shut the movement and even noises. I can only sigh, close my eyes to accept defeat. So I'm doom? “For the best of all,” a voice so familiar woke me up from the silence. It goes to its unique way of greeting: “Will you continue or waiting in this place for a rescue?”

The whisper grew louder, morphing into an unintelligible murmur that seemed to emanate from all around me. I pressed forward, determined to uncover the source of the mysterious voice. With each step, the light grew stronger, until finally, I emerged into a small chamber bathed in an ethereal glow. Before me stood a figure cloaked in shadows, their features obscured by the shimmering light. My heart raced as I realized I was not alone in this strange place. "Who are you?" I demanded, my voice trembling with a mixture of fear and curiosity. The figure remained silent for a moment, then spoke in a voice that sent shivers down my spine. Finally, she remembered that when she was younger, she was able to talk and just be quiet. It was the fact that she had been shunned at the rogue pack not to talk that she had been quiet all these while. Bingo! Maybe if she said a word, they could understand what she was saying, and maybe she could tell them she needed hearing aids and she couldn’t hear what they were saying to her.
