Hissing, she widened her throat as she let rings of fire emit. Harriet, Kelvin, Peter, and Patrilia stood as they watched the fire create its own whirlwinds. It used them to fan its wrath as it spread at an abnormal speed. The winds tore the burning branches, then flew the firebrands overhead and torched the forests hundreds of feet away. They could hear the hunters' screams of fear as they ran for their lives. There feet pummeled on the ground and faded away the moment they exited the forest gates.

Their faces were as haggard as a cow working in the field. I guess they were one of the rescued victims. When mom was hugging me even more. I had lain awake for what felt like hours, staring at the ceiling, replaying every word he had ever spoken to me, every whisper of danger that now seemed to draw closer with each passing moment. But exhaustion had finally claimed me, dragging me under. And there it was again. The fire. It started softly, like a single candle flickering in the distance. “Alpha—we’ve been trying, but the flames—they’re not going out!” “What do you mean they’re not going out?!” I demanded. "Pour the water, foam, sand or whatever else you have on it!” Another man stepped forward, his hands shaking. “We've done all that sir but it's not working.
