He quickly recovers and refuses to look me in the eye. “What did you hear River? “Nothing.” He walks away from me towards the edge of the forest. “Don’t lie to me River. I know you heard something. Tell me.” “Have you ever had strange dreams that came true?” “No. What are you talking about?”

Said her captor. She thrashed against him like a wild animal desperate for escape. "Get off me! What do you want?" How did you know my name, you freak?!” By the gruffness of his voice, River knew he was a man. He finally relented, pushing her back against the brick wall with surprising gentleness. "River, listen to me. I know about the letter." River froze. The letter? H-how did he know about the letter? Her mother clearly made sure that piece of information remained between her and Echo. How could this freak have known that?

River Michael Knight was an interesting man. River could've ridden beside him for the entire trail ride and still found things to talk about. He mumbles under his breath. This guy is weird but he has a friendly aura around him. He doesn't talk much but when he does he keeps laughing but I still don't know what makes him laugh. Now that I can examine him up close, I can guarantee that he looks like a very intimidating person. With tattoos surrounding his arms and covering his neck, he also has his nose and ears pierced. When he isn't laughing, he looks like a scary person indeed. I wouldn't want to mess with him. "I'm River." It's my utmost attempt to start a conversation.
