The unnamed warrior, covered in his own blood as his chest slowly heaved and fell. My breath caught. I didn’t even know what to feel—fear, guilt, pain or anger? The warrior was now in his human form, slowly taking his last breaths. He was looking me directly in the eyes, and for unknown reasons, I was frozen in place, unable to move under the scrutiny of his weak eyes. Sometimes I feel cursed with the kind of heart I was born with. How could I still feel pity towards a man who had the intent of taking my life?

My heart sank, my vision blurring with rage. The second badge of warriors was being led towards the trees, their hands bound behind their backs. They were about to meet the same fate as Elder Ryker. A roar of fury erupted from my throat as I charged towards the enemy warriors. My body was a blur of motion, my claws extended. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest, my senses consumed by rage. I slammed into the enemy warriors, my claws swiping through the air. My warriors followed close behind, their bodies a frenzy of motion as they tore into the enemy. The sound of snarling and growling filled the air, the scent of blood and sweat hanging heavy over the battlefield.

As we neared it, the words from her premonition came to me. “What you hold close to the heart will not survive. For war is a field of no rules and morality, something you know of. But the last cards are in place as you have not changed the course of your path. In war, there are no rules but one unspoken yet agreed upon. Attack the heart. And what does an immortal man hold close to his heart that he couldn’t hold before? His mate, Vivian.”

“I do not tolerate tardiness. “ Alexander said as soon as he spotted the prince walking back. Alexander was not going to treat the Prince any different because of his status. Everyone training in the field was equal and that was how he saw it. Amir didn’t reply, but Alexander watched the way his jaw tightened in rage. “You will be my partner. “ Alexander said when he noticed all the warriors were paired up. Amir only nodded before he drew out his sword and that was how they began swording. Alexander was shocked at his ferociousness. It was obvious that this was not a friendly fight and Alexander had to put more effort. That would only serve for him to teach the prince a lesson. When battling

“Four.” The lives of innocent people are on the line. “Three.” The honor of every warrior on both sides is riding on the defeat of one pack and the victory of the other. “Two.” The outcome from today's events would either clear a path to my revenge or be the driving point to my downfall. “One…” “Wait!” I paused in my words and we all turned out heads to the young warrior who stood 3 feet away from us. Sweat covered his skin and heavy pants fell from his lips. He’s one of the warriors we left behind at the pack.

My best friend Allen, Delta Heir, is already branching out into the Healing and Magic arts and its application to technology. My goal as a pack member is to become a warrior. Because I grew up chubby, that doesn't apply to me but guess what? As I said, I always carried a mean right hook with me. My weight just adds power to it. And with all the training I had received since joining the Gamma Warrior program, I could keep my shapely body and build strength and stamina.

She is completely blank while she is working, just taking care of her responsibility and doing just what’s needed. Many times between work, her mind wants the work to end and return back to thinking about him, it wants her to return to pain. The pain of separation. she had thought the world about him, she had dreamt of her lifetime with him, nothing was happening, and everything seemed falling apart. She feels like she is a heavily wounded soldier who has lost a battle against fate and destiny.

Damien's POV The celebration was in full swing under the Northern Lights. I held my drink, accepting congratulations from other pack leaders. Lila was clinging to my arm, the picture of perfect elegance. But I couldn’t shake a feeling of unease. Like I was forgetting something important. Suddenly, a gut-wrenching pain tore through me. It was a phantom silver blade, slicing open my chest and ripping my heart right out. "Argh—!" I screamed, falling from my chair.

At one point, I get excited to hear a strong heartbeat, only to realize that it’s my own heartbeat and not my uncle’s. I’m broken out of my haze when strong hands wrap around my arms. I look ahead to see a pack warrior in front of me. His mouth is moving, but I can’t make out any words. I close my eyes and struggle to open them again. My head is starting to feel cloudy, and the warrior’s face isn’t as clear as it just was. I feel darkness dancing at the edge of my vision, and I want to give in badly.
