Atlas’s POV The early morning sun did little to warm the cold emptiness in my chest. The training grounds were filled with the sounds of grunts and heavy footsteps as warriors sparred and practiced maneuvers, their breath fogging in the air. I stood on the edge of the field, my arms crossed, my gaze sharp as I surveyed them. Every imperfection, every hesitation, every missed strike caught my attention, fueling the restless anger that had become my constant companion. “Form tighter ranks!” I barked, my voice cutting through the air like a whip. “If this were a real fight, you’d be dead already!”

Darius stood beside me, his jaw tightening as we both rushed to the warrior's side. “What happened?” Darius demanded, his voice sharp, but the warrior barely managed to stay upright. Blood stained his uniform, and his trembling hands clutched his side as though trying to hold himself together. “I… I was kidnapped,” he rasped, his voice weak but laced with bitterness. “For two days. No one… no one came for me.” My heart sank as his words hit me. He was one of the orphans—a warrior with no family to notice his absence. A cruel reality of our pack system, one I’d always despised.

His spirit isn't fit to be a background extra, let alone the lead warrior of a blockbuster film. Putting on a totally helpless, innocent expression of my own, my tongue utters, "It is not that my heart does not want to help your skin, cousin. Warlord David does not change his alpha mind easily once his fangs are set. Your spirit can get mad at my name all you want, but why did your claws throw his personal alpha crest card onto the dirt right in front of his face? Kate's P.O.V. As I pressed my hand on that warrior’s skin, darkness swallowed me whole. The cold hospital room vanished, replaced by a battlefield drenched in blood. The injured warrior staggered across the ruined courtyard, every breath sounding like broken glass scraping his lungs. His wolf growled fiercely as three rogues surrounded him, attacking at once. Despite his injuries, the warrior refused to retreat. He fought like a man protecting something far more valuable than his own life. Claws collided, and growls shook the air as he managed to throw one rogue into a wall before another ripped across his shoulder.

A nurse mixed up the reports and told them that she was suffering from kidney failure. Matthew's eyes welled with tears. He clutched the doctor's coat and shouted, "Give her my kidney! Take both if you have to! If I lose her, I don't want to live anymore!" Once they realized it was a mistake, the man who ruled the boardroom with a cold heart crouched in the hospital hallway, sobbing like a child. "Thank God, Danielle. I'm so glad you're okay." People around her often warned that as Matthew's empire grew, he would inevitably attract countless admirers. Yet he treated her so well that she couldn't muster even a trace of suspicion.
