The Run Away

The Run Away

{Ashleigh's PVO} I woke up in a hospital bed and trying to remember what happened last night. It all came back to me in a flash, but I am worried as I cannot hear but could still feel Mila. My mom and dad are gone. Matt and his mate are Alpha and Luna, and I very much doubt they will hand over the pack to my brother when he returns from Alpha training. "Uncle Dean, my mom and dad..." It came out like a sob and Annebelle approached me. "Shh child we are here for you. We have made the arrangements within an hour the two of you will be discharged and we will send your parents back to the moon goddess."

THE BILLIONAIRE'S SECRET HEIR

THE BILLIONAIRE'S SECRET HEIR

“You and Caleb need time away. Just a weekend. You need to breathe again.” “I do not know if I can do that.” “You can,” she said. “And you need to.” --- When I told Caleb, he agreed immediately. “She is right,” he said. “We need this. We need to remember who we are without all of this.” I studied his face and saw the same exhaustion I felt. “We are still us,” he added quietly. “We just need to find that again.” --- So we booked a weekend away. The beach house was private and quiet, with security positioned far enough away not to feel suffocating. It was the first time we had been alone in months.

Ran Away From His Sky

Ran Away From His Sky

The type and tail number matched those of the aircraft I'd trained in seven years earlier. There was no airline logo on the fuselage, no four stripes, no captain's wings. Only two small words were engraved beside the left cabin window. "Eight weeks." I stared at those two words for a long time. Beside it was a note. "I finally understand that the sky was always yours. I have no right to ask for forgiveness about the baby. I hope every takeoff from here on out is for yourself alone." No request for me to come back. No promise that he'd wait.

Taming Sunrise

Taming Sunrise

“Did you have a premonition about this earlier? You said that you won’t make love with me for a week and your parents suddenly appeared here as if on cue. They even placed us under parental guidance. Are we kids?” I softly chuckled. “As if you’re really following their orders.” I glided my hands on his waist and we walked back towards the living room. Caleb grabbed the towel and made me sit on the floor. “Let me at least dry your hair tonight as I may not be able to do it for a long time.” I rolled my eyeballs. “It’s just for a week.” “A week away from you is too long.” He rubbed the towel on my hair. “We’re just a few doors apart.” I rested my head on his lap and he stopped moving.

Amazing story so far, I love it. You pull readers in directly from the first chapter. I had a hard time putting it down. Absolutely one of my newest favorites. Thank you for your hard work as a writer.

Truly enjoyed reading this story! The only thing I would say is I wish there was either Dawn POV or Caleb POV at the beginning of each chapter or at the changes throughout the chapters when the POVs changed between the two. Other than that, really well written!! Good job author! 😊

Dreams Apart

5ft-tall), his slim and muscular features, his perfect suntanned skin, and his gunmetal eyes that spoke of sympathy, and glowed bluish when the sun shone through it. Hopping out of the black wagon; they head toward the gates of the Goldrich theme park, and the passers-by became watchers of the day. Proudly, Lucy clasped Charleston's arm into her arm as they walked through the rough pathway of the Goldrich theme park. "You didn't come with your men, but only your chauffeur, reason to be?" Lucy asked. "I wanted to spend more time with you without their inconvenience," replied Charles. They strolled to the ticket desk.

Stace asks, taking her hand in his to shake it kindly. "No, they are away for a week," she explains with a shrug. "Come in. We've missed you." We? I glance up at Stace, who appears grim. This is going to be interesting.

Chasing my estranged wife: I want you back

Chasing my estranged wife: I want you back

They were certainly going to be okay, and I knew about that but still…. “ Fine, fine, how many days are we going to be away for?” “ A week” My mouth fell open. That wasn't even going to be possible at all. “ You know that wouldn't work” “ Then fine, is there something that you want? We can do that, a week sounded fine to me, though. Just us alone” A week alone with Ryan meant that anything was bound to happen, with the sizzling tension and how often I found myself getting lost in his gaze countless times.

The Last Seven Days

The Last Seven Days

His words were a blade stabbing my heart deep, twisting it. All the words I could have said came down to just one word. "Alright." After all, in six days, I would be gone from this world forever. Nothing else mattered anymore. Hearing me relent, Jared let out a sigh of relief and turned to Melody, joy in his eyes. I turned to leave, but he stopped me. He took a blanket and draped it over my shoulders, gently brushing back the stray hair with my ear. "Why are you wearing so little? You'll catch a cold."

Frequently Asked Questions

If you're into classic Hollywood melodramas with a splash of existential angst, 'Two Weeks in Another Town' is a fascinating watch. Directed by Vincente Minnelli and starring Kirk Douglas, it follows Jack Andrus, a washed-up actor trying to revive his career in Rome. He gets dragged into directing a film by his former mentor, Maurice Kruger, but old wounds and messy relationships resurface—especially with his ex-wife Carlotta. The film’s a chaotic mix of artistic ambition, personal failure, and the glittery yet hollow world of cinema. The Rome setting adds this gorgeous, almost surreal backdrop to the whole mess, making the emotional unraveling even more dramatic.

What really sticks with me is how raw Douglas’s performance feels. Jack’s desperation isn’t just about career redemption; it’s about clawing back some semblance of self-respect. The supporting cast, like Cyd Charisse as a seductive starlet and Edward G. Robinson as the manipulative Kruger, heightens the tension. It’s not a perfect movie—some parts drag, and the melodrama tips into camp—but there’s something painfully relatable about watching someone gamble everything on a second chance. The ending leaves you wondering if any of it was worth it, which, honestly, is kind of the point.
