“Why would I want to go off-campus with you? First of all, I’ve got plans this weekend. Second of all, it’s Sunday. My off-day. My day to binge-watch dramas in bed. You know, the important stuff.” He chuckles again. “I get it, I get it. You need your ‘me-time.’” “Exactly!” I practically jumped out of my seat with excitement. “And you know, I think I cannot manage to survive the weekend without sleeping.” But he doesn’t give up. Of course he doesn’t. Because Mr. Wright is relentless when he wants something. “It’ll just be fun, Alina. You’ve been looking a little... stressed lately. A change of scenery might be good for you. As I'm staring at the wall I hear the door open. I can't bring myself to see who walked in. Being alone is my new life now. I don't want my hopes up when someone comes to drag me out of the room, only to be left alone in the end. The door closes with a loud click and feet make their way towards me. I close my eyes in an attempt to stop the temptation of looking to see who's here. Please just leave me alone.

LEYLA'S POV:- After a long and busy week, it was finally the weekend. I went back home thinking that finally I could have some "me" time. I had planned my whole weekend. To have a full body massage and go out with my friends on Saturday night. Then we would go to my beach house and spend the whole day there. I had asked all my friends. And I was lucky that they were all free on that weekend. How perfect! That's what you might be thinking. But perfection is not something I get in my life.

Unstoppable. And in that moment, I knew the weekend had changed everything. Not just the retreat, not just the resort… but me, and him, and the quiet pull that would follow us long after the moonlight faded.
