Looping her arm through mine, Alva hooks Juliet with the other and tugs us along the deck to walk again, but she’s heavily listing my direction, more than once brushing my hip or leg with hers.
“Stole her away from him?” I prompt.
“Why yes.” Alva glances with amusement between us, and on her opposite side, I see my wife staring directly ahead blankly.
