I snap. And then it hits me. The timing and the way it lingers. My stomach drops. Hardin. He’s watching me right now. Which means he saw the missed calls. Every single one of them. He chose not to answer. Something dark and reckless sparks inside me. Oh. An idea forms—sharp, impulsive, dangerous. Fine. If he wants to watch… I’ll give him something worth watching. I open my laptop and play music, slow and heavy, filling the room. I toss my phone onto the bed like it doesn’t matter anymore.

No expectations. No one has to know. We could keep it a secret. And it’s not like either of us would be losing anything. Hell, maybe it would even be good for Ivan. Like, a learning experience or something. And for me? It might just satisfy this ridiculous curiosity that’s been driving me crazy lately. Right? ...Right? Ugh! Whatever. I’ll just cross that bridge when I get there. Doesn’t matter what plan I make, I’ll probably give in to Ivan in the end. Let’s be honest—I’m already halfway there.

Since I was done with my bath, I decide to see a movie in the game room that sat downstairs. A few minutes into the movie, I was getting bored so I changed my mind. Maybe all I need is to go to some club, get dirty drunk and sleep my lazy ass off on the couch. It wasn’t the brightest of all the ideas but hey! I am single, I have no friends, parents, or even a neighbor, did I tell you my new cabin sat miles away from town and overlooked the prettiest beach I have ever seen? Donning one of the Louboutin heels that I now owned, I swept my hair into a high ponytail and let some of them free, to frame my face.

Lexie closed her eyes for a moment, enjoying the cool morning breeze. “What if we build a house here? Just a simple vacation home?” Ram suddenly said. She smiled at his thought. “Yeah, I think I like that idea. Just a one-story house. I’ve always wanted my own garden, full of flowers and stuff.” She said, smiling. “We can do that. But first, where’s the way to that waterfall?” Ram asked. Lexie’s eyes widened at his question, and she quickly turned to look at him as if saying "Are you serious?"
