I huffed pushing the door open “ Creed doesn’t think cream cheese on a bagel tastes good. He’s literally not human.” Ryan griped “ Is that really what you two are arguing about?” Walking over to the coffee mug that sat on my desk I can tell it is hot which means the cook just brought it in not too long ago. Taking a sip, I take in the hotness that runs down my throat as peace in this messed up word. Anyone who says coffee has no effect on you mentally are people who have never drank and enjoyed coffee before.

Aaron rubbed his hands over his face and let out a sigh, “You’re all she has left from this broken life” “She has you guys… besides; I don’t see what’s wrong with letting her bond with her parents and brothers” “Yeah, if we had parents” I looked at Aaron as if he was talking whack, “what the fuck do you mean” He sat down in the chair by my bedside, “How much do you remember from the war?” “Not much, I was really out of it… to be honest, everything is a big blur”

“Yeah, that’s Logan Carter.” There was a round of Oh's and ahs from the group at the window. I heard my phone buzz on the table with a notification. I closed my laptop down and grabbed my things. A lot of the office stayed at the window watching as I exited. I must admit they were correct; he looked exceptional. He was wearing dark jeans, a crisp white T-shirt and a black leather jacket. He was leaning against the bonnet of a car I didn’t recognise.

Jake said with a straight face. "Dude, it's 30 degrees outside," Aaron winced. "So? A dare is a dare. You only have to stay out for a minute. Don't be a little bitch," Jake chuckled. "I'll kill you later," Aaron groaned and took his shirt off. I couldn't help but look and blushed profusely. He had always been in good shape, but it was as if he had gotten even more toned and perfect. I sneaked another peek when he took his pants off. Oh god...it was like looking at the body of a Greek God.

He's been in the service for a long time. This was supposed to be his last job before retirement.”

My heart raced as I took deep breaths. “You are a warrior. You will not let fear control you.” I muttered to myself. “You are a warrior. You are trained to be resilient and not let emotions cloud your judgement.” I had to remember my training. It prepared me for what I had faced, what I had yet to face. It had prepared me not to let my mind allow fear to gain control over my actions. I let out another deep breath, my heart rate slowing as I forced the memories back. My eyes shot open as the feeling of someone watching me prickled my skin. I bit my lip to stop myself from shouting as I came face to face with Garren. An intrigued look on his face as he watched me.

Alpha Darren's eyes narrowed, "Really Diana? I thought you were a good drinker." Diana was stunned and then remembered something. Did he already know that the wine was almost gone? That's what Diana thought. "Ah no way, isn't Diana very innocent? Look at her, she's such an adorable baby," said Leon, one of the staff who had only been working at the head office for a year. As a result of his careless words, he ended up getting a deadly stare from Alpha Darren. Without Leon realizing it, he had poured gasoline on the fire.
