Abigail, moving her legs, paused for a moment.
Seeing that, his hand grip loosened, but when she turned her head, a single tear rolled down her cheeks, as she smiled in pain, before muttering, “Don’t worry, Mr Byron. You already destroyed my heart so brutally that I, Abigail, never could make up again in this life. So rest assured. I will get what I deserve. So, now, please rest and start your new life with the woman you love.”
Her last sentence was like a dagger in his chest, but his eyes stayed focused and unmoved, showing no humanity.
