She must have been worried since I hadn't shown up for almost three days. I tried to look composed as she walked into the living room. Aunt Hannah had been my only family member since the death of my parents. Being my mom's older sister, I saw my mother in her sometimes, and it was all the comfort I needed. "Welcome. Where have you been?" she asked, her gaze watching me from top to bottom and back up again.

The three of them turned to us, their faces lighting up. “Dad, you have to settle this,” Damien declared. “Not tonight,” Alexander replied, his lips curving into a faint smile. “Your mom’s the boss tonight.” “ Boys, there are grocery bags in the car, get them”. I teased Mom while I addressed Ace who appeared in the frame. He was eating a sandwich. He came and sat down beside Mom on the couch while Mom made him the target of her vicious glare next. “ Early bird catches the worm. ” Mom patted his shoulder as he smiled awkwardly at me through the camera. “ But I am human Mom. I am not a bird. ” I teased once more to divert her attention from poor Ace who looked dead just from receiving a glare from her. “ Leave it. You children won't understand. ” She groaned out and gave up altogether before leaning in to stare at me.

Baker for her but she and Damon are in a relationship thing. "Jace, I have to tell you that mom won't stop calling me because your phone was turned off, and so was Sarah.
