The Art Of Dying
The bridge looked ancient, like it had been there for centuries, swaying in a wind that didn't exist.
"That's our way forward," Walter said, pointing at a glowing marker on the far side. "The exit point."
"Of course it is," Brady muttered. "Because a nice, safe path would be too easy."
We approached the bridge carefully. Up close, it looked even worse cos half the planks were missing, and the ropes were frayed. One wrong step and you'd fall into the chasm below, which went down so far I couldn't see the bottom.
"We'll have to cross one at a time," I said. "The bridge won't support all our weight."
